Hi , i dont post often but like to read and gauge the mood .
i hope that football with supporters returns sooner rather than later. I have missed it even though we have been generally poor this last couple of years.
But how would it work with social distancing, sell 12000 season tickets and let 50% in per game, a quarter of capacity and how do you take into account famalies, who live togethor and would not need to social distance.
I attend with my grown up son , who still lives at home, it would be stupid to sit 2 mtrs away from him, when we are sat on the sofa trying to watch that sterile rubbish that is football without fans.

Can't because some have paid already and then the sales stopped. That's not really fair is it?

Plus you have 25 year season ticket holders, you have hospitality to consider.

You would have to limit it to 1or 2 per household if you want to do first 6k pay to make it fair.

Think it all depends on how much football clubs like Bradford City invest for be Covid 19 secure. If football clubs invest money in temperature testing as you going in, hand wash areas, update toilet area and develop their own tack & trace system(knowing which fans are in the ground) then that go give the go ahead for fans to sit together as normal.

I believe that hopefully soon that certain industries like sport that social distancing won't be required.

Hate to say this Stafford, not to you but Fordy will be crowing all over it. You could be right!.
When I said 21st November I did so with some consideration that the Alert Rate would not come down as fast as it has, down another level this week. Personally I think this is still too fast but realise that more than medical this is all being driven by economics.
I stood by my date when Furlough was extended to the end of October, thinking start pre-season then, three weeks and off we go. I also anticipated we would have a safe reduction in the Alert Level by then to allow attendance at games, this being imperative for L1& 2. Also hotels would be open allowing overnights for distance away games and the relaxation of Social Distancing would eliminate the need (and cost) for two buses for players and staff to travel.
There is now a very important element which is being driven and which I had not fully considered, T.V. money feeding down from not just PL but Championship which is where the EFL come in as the governing body for the Championship. To get the T.V. money the Championship has to play which effectively means the EFL as a whole has to play, a bit like opening small shops after the big supermarkets opened, all a question of everyone getting a share of the cake.
So, restricted attendances or full attendances, I think you're right, Stafford, or at least in with a chance when you suggest possibly some time in October. If so I might miss as I plan to be at my place in Spain sometime that month.

Not sure how they are going to sort the 6,000 out if as you suggest around 6,000 is the figure.
Will they designate 2,000 to each stand and select season ticket holders on that basis, would they take into consideration as yourself many are families, some having very young children within the group.
Let's hope various ways are being considered at the present time, I'm hoping the level may be reduced and that should allow more in, what will be interesting is if there are older fans or those with other underlying medical conditions who think it's too much of a risk to attend, our season ticket take up might be well down for the coming season, but I'd still think a logistic nightmare ?.

Given I'm on the 'shielded' list, I won't be attending anytime soon. However, I will be happy to renew my season ticket providing I can still watch the matches. If that option is available, I suspect there will be quite a few others who would opt to watch from home, which might just get the numbers down to 6,000, if that turns out to be the initial figure.

Why is it loyalty? A family of 4-6 might have been planning to buy tickets with May pay.

Sorry that's not fair. An OAP with no outgoings might wanted to use their pension to pay but it doesn't mean they are more loyal than the family of 4-6 that are workng hard.

Give the people that have paid their money back then resale to season ticket holders.

Could always put tickets on sale like a cup match have a queue from ticket office.

If you have 2m gaps it would stretch past Bingley

Do you just go out of your way to be awkward, fans buy their season ticket early and for doing that you want the club to give it back so the fans can buy next season ticket again, why ?.

Most of the time it is but, for deliveries, I'm operating a 2 metre rule and I won't be lowering it.

I don't want to miss part (or all) of next season but I think the return of crowds will come too early for me, so I'm hoping to watch the matches from home. But as soon as I believe it is safe (for me) to do so, I'll be back. Better to miss a few matches than all of them.

In this situation...YES!!! The sales have stopped before a deadline. The club can't then say those that paid already get rewarded when most would have paid before the deadline anyway.

Sorry Rhodes never said in December you get a prize for paying early.

You give people their money back then start again!! It's not hard.

it is a nightmare but other clubs will already have a solution to this I hope our club have too 6000 has been mentioned as a new capacity not too sure how many tickets for next season have been sold but would be surprised if it exceeds this figure after last seasons dismal effort
Fair play to those (not me) who have already bought tickets they should be given first option of a seat at the match
Wonder if the club have considered "City" face masks as a way to keep fans safe and also a way to raise revenue Trevor Brooking was wearing a West Ham mask at today's game maybe something for the marketing dept to consider
