Rupp is just protecting his investment though. We won't go under but lets not make out he is a Saint.

He's not doing it for your benefit.

Most football clubs are in debt outside the PL. Football is a lost maker really.

The frustrating thing with Rupp is he has the money but he just doesn't want to take the club forward and under Rhodes that was never going to happen because he's a blocker. He runs to the book and doesn't take risks.

We should be looking to invest in the future to protect the club and build but no...Tick, tick, tick..

    Explain your point clearly!

Point is with you is that you don't think deep enough and that's why you get sucked into making wrong decisions.

When all is said and done, survival is paramount.
In a way that's a shame because for a club like ours,
We are possibly in a better place financially than most so
this season could well of been an opportunity missed

To me the question is who do we need to add rather than remove. Its obvious it is our recruitment that is lacking. I do genuinely believe McCall is the man to take us forward. Its just our players are still poor. 3-4 new signings needed who are quality and more importantly actually suit McCall's style of play.

Can you really see Jenkins taking such a statement "Hang on a bit we are not ready for you yet" instead of snapping his hand off
You wouldn't see him for dust it implies Mr Rhodes is more qualified to see us through this difficult season
To me it's Sparks who Mr Rhodes wants to be the new CEO and Mr Rupp isn't too sure

I agree Rhodes' comments seem to point more towards a rookie appointment that needs to be shown the ropes than it does an experienced CEO that's been there, done it and got the t-shirt, but I really hope I'm wrong and there's something in the Jenkins' rumour.

Me too a rookie appointment would just about see this club over the edge
Especially being shown the same ropes that has served Mr Rhodes so well !!!!
Think we are both right step forward Mr Sparks CEO

If that happens we need to drive Rupp out.

Which is what exactly? Isn't that the whole reason we're not winning - because we don't have a consistent style of play?

Sparks fits in with the whole approach of running this club like a McDonald’s franchise so would keep Uncle Rupp sweet.

Really hope it is someone else with a more accomplished cv. but does that sort of person wait around? I think not.

the issue with this is that it suggests McCall isn't responsible for the players that have been brought in this summer.. he is 100% responsible for that. if he wanted players to suit his style of play, he should have signed them when he had the chance. the notion that 'players weren't available' that he has pushed on more than one occasion is a complete falsehood too. he wanted 100% control of budget and signings and he got it. unfortunately, he blew it.

    Sparks.

I read his Linkedin profile. He's a sports journalist. Fair play to him, he's had a pretty rapid rise career wise, having got his first job as sports editor at Batley nine years ago. He then had three jobs before us, all in PR. And he's gone from Head of Media and PR to Director of Comms and Commercial with us in two years. But at the end of the day, he's cut his cloth, and studied for Sports PR, and it seems we've now shoehorned him into a commercial role too. None of his previous jobs involved being a CEO or controlling the financial side of things.
Surely Rupp knows that after fcuk up after fcuk up trying to do things on the cheap, or within the club, that we need someone experienced steering the ship? Even if he doesn't, you'd like to think that JR would have a word in his ear.

If it's Sparks, despite the bloke seemingly being a thoroughly nice chap, I think the rumble of discontent from the "outside noisemakers" will grow progressively louder.
