This is a strange question. Why can't we afford to stay at Valley Parade? You are probably right we can't afford to stay at VP with only 8k season ticket holders due to the current running of the club, but 6 years ago when we were riding up at 5th place in League One, this wasn't even an issue.

The only reason this question raises it's head is because we have clowns running the club, so because we have clowns running the club we need to find a new home? Why not replace the clowns?

To get the facts correct, VP wasn't sold for £5m. The pension fund bought VP for £2.5m. The club raised another £2.5m by selling the offices, shop and car parks to a property company, Land Securities.

Coventry who were hated by their fans you mean and got crowds of about 3k? I know you and Park have a fetish for getting rid of fans for your own self importance, but the rest of us would rather not kill the club with your silly suggestions. Nothing obtuse about it, just common sense.

As a fan, give me Lawn all day long over these clueless idiots running the club now. He was a proper businessman and loved the team. Can’t say either of those things for Rupp sparks gent etc

Lawn may not have been the most tactful of negotiators, but this clueless, snake oil salesman has nothing behind him but lies and failure.
Boy blunder has to go before the damage he's inflicted on this club becomes irreparable.

The relationship between City and the Flamingo Land Pension Scheme is symbiotic.

The two need each other to function successfully.

There is little value in Valley Parade other than as a stadium. The cost in clearing it and repurposing the site would be immense and the loss of income whilst that took place would be substantial.

There are few sites in Bradford where the club could build a new stadium. The cost would be huge probably over £40 million for a 20,000 seater stadium.

Apart from moving to Odsal, or Horsfall there is no other existing venue. The state and location of Odsal is appalling. The location and size of Horsfall unsuitable.

The club and the Pension fund need to come to some sensible agreement. A sliding rate of a rental fee makes sense.

We could...... but where? It would have to be a groundshare with Huddersfield or Leeds and neither are likely, well, neither have a cat in hells chance. Huddersfield are having their own ground ownership issues and there is zero upside for either team to share.

We cannot afford to build new, especially inside 3 years. Until there is an alternative, we need them just as much as they need us. We hold zero cards without a viable ground. Knowing the council, we are only a few weeks away from another "Wembley of the north" type T&A headline.

There's a huge amount of doubting his ability on that front. The cycle of manager hires and settlements, poor use of recruitment funds, the massive erosion of his customer base.

Commercial leadership is about much more than winning a low value local sponsorship deal.

The council would prefer the recently announced multi mullion pound scheme to 'upgrsde' Kings Road by creating bus and cycle lanes. That's how the Labour led loonies at town Hall would prefer to spend our council tax mate

Listen the rent should not be an issue
    ????

How much money have they spunked up on over the hill players.

If the club was run correctly it wouldnt be an issue and the reason it is now is due to piss poor management x

    Pretty obvious to me.

Odsal is, and will always be a dump.

Horsfall is unsuitable due to the size of it.

According to recent accounts Rent is £434k.

By moving that doesn't go down to nil. By moving you will lose far more than that in income for events held within the conference and banqueting suites, etc.

Some people also make the argument of buying the ground back, again that isn't free. We could get a mortgage for it and the interest alone would probably dwarf the current rent, or the chairman who doesn't care might throw us £5m which won't happen.

We can't go to Odsal as football regulation require teams who have been in the top two tier for over 3 seasons to play from all seater stadiums, and there is nowhere else within 20 miles of the City that would be cheaper or have the capacity to cater for us.

We missed the bus when Town/Giants moved to a purpose built stadium in the 90s. With us and the Bulls both in our heyday thats when that should have or could have happened but the council were more interested in fantasy superdomes.

I was talking to a Gibb family member a few weeks ago and he laughed at the very thought of them selling the ground back to City. In other words they have no intention of selling and I am guessing due to the £434k a year in rent.

Talk of them selling for £5m is laughable as well. It was bought for £5m over 20 years ago!
