League two is now finished according to twitter. Weighted points per game to decide. Clubs can’t afford testing and to take players off of furlough. Awaiting for board to ratify it.

I'm sure he does but the underlying feeling is there. He isn't willing to take risks and is even willing to sacrifice his income to avoid it.

Not actually sure how you get around and outlook like that if it's shared by a significant number of wealthy players. We can't force them to play for us.

 

Irrelevant for us anyway, we were always gonna be a L2 club next season. On the plus side, that's three strong clubs out of the picture for next season in Swindon, crewe and Plymouth.

 

You're right we can't force them, and they should have a choice in the matter. But, they can't expect to be paid and I suppose players like Troy can afford that choice.

But I don't imagine there will be too many players who don't want to play. And even then, for every unwilling player, there'll be 5 kids ready to step in and make a name for themselves.

I agree with that sentiment.

 

I don't mind players having concerns or questions. Mark Noble had concerns but hasn't come out and said he won't play.

If a player is saying they won't play then for me that player can't play until crowds come back.

 

To be honest, think this has done us some good. Like someone mentioned eariler three really good sides will now go up.

Bolton may be a decent contender if they do relegate from league one. Regardless nice to have a decent away ground for a change. Other than that real decent oppotunity to build for next season.

plus even if we were still in the play off picture I dont think we would have won. Maybe the final but our away form speaks for itself. Lasty would be very bittersweet to win a final at an empty ground.

 

We failed this season. Massively!

There are no positives to take out of this. I know we are a piss poor side but having it confirmed still digs deep. I'm missing football then I realise whenever it does come back I'm watching league 2 football again for at least another season. God how enthralling.
