Never in a million years at the moment
He saw what was coming years ago and jumped ship
    Very shrewd move from him
JR will only go so far before Edin puts him in his place and he will be gone as well
    Nice idea though

Probably the club is too skint to sack Hopkin and pay for a new head coach, so he can carry on regardless of results.

Cannot even get a deal together to bring in Caddis, a player that should solve the right back problem.

Thats ok as we have plenty of right backs to choose from.

At the moment a good young manager is not what we need
We need an experienced hard man capable of standing up to both
team and management to stand any chance of steady in the ship

Unbelievable!! Ok you bright know it all sparks; we have had 4 managers since the start of the year, and we continue to lose and your solution is to sack our current manager without a thought as to which superman is going to come to our rescue!!

Here is another stat, not one of those managers has chosen our current team! Now I wonder is that the problem? C’mn don’t be shy, let’s here it, you know how this is done, the manager has a plan, he then recruits accordingly and within the budget.

We have for better or worse need to stick with Hopkin mistakes and all. I actually think he is getting it right with the players available. I think ppl have forgotten at exactly how poor we are! There is no magic wands or any other supernatural way of getting out of this, it is going to be slow. I am just as frustrated as everyone else, I am sick of being beaten. Even if somebody is prepared to come here, it would be seriously disruptive to the squad.

Sadly I think that'll be the case. As I said, at the moment Parky coming back is the only appointment that would make a difference. Any more young managers would be a mistake but even someone experienced like Grayson couldn't get us winning. It's quite clear that things wont change until Edin and Rupp go unfortunately

Not only has he had to cope with the horrendous injury list, but the majority on there, are the best of a very, very, very bad bunch. As soon as he gets one back another gets injured or suspended. If only he could pick the same 11 twice that would be a start.

Bringing in his own staff and players is the only fair way to judge him. He did a good job at Livingston so let’s not keep chopping and changing. Nobody wants this gig at the moment so have patience.

Not too sure Parky would make a difference unless we have a TOTAL change of heart from top to bottom and give him full control without interference Mr I am a championship manager probably could have made a difference but only wanted to put himself in the shop window for a few months Interesting to note that like MC he has still not found a job
It's not the manager at fault it's the ethos of the club until that changes the downward spiral will continue regardless of the manager

What makes anyone think under our present stewardship that any future manager would be able to pick his own players for his own formations as you correctly say there is no magic wand sadly

Results are the only way to judge.

He knew about the squad when he took the job.
Injuries are part of the game and to be honest most on that list won't make a blind bit of difference.

Ok, you carry on thinking we should be fair as we continue to lose.

We can't buy a win and look fu&king shite!

Yep whilst we can all pick holes in DH selections and tactics at times let's be clear on this....the problems at the club run far far deeper than the manager.
We do, but let's be clear on this. Our problems run far deeper than the manager and in my view any change would frankly be pointless. This squad has to be up there with the worst I've seen in my 44 years as a fan.
I agree DH has made mistakes. Is he the right man to take us forward? I honestly have reservations but I also firmly believe changing now would be pointless. No coach with any sort of credibility will come anywhere near the car crash that we've become!

But is he really how many of the players are l1 standard. The players aren't good enough at this level realistically of those signed in the summer would anyone say are good players.

    O'Donnell
Wood (which is a surprise being his 1st season)
    L Obrien (again a surprise)

Then maybe O'Connor and Payne at times.

    The rest not upto it
    Wright and Akpan awful.
    Doyle not interested
Scannell sick note (stupid signing called it at the time)
    Miller alot to learn still
Ball hit and miss (miss more often)
Mellor and Riley the less said the better.
Seedorf is he actually a footballer or just someone with blistering pace.

The list is endless yes majority have experience and maybe need to look at themselves a bit more but they don't play as a team because they aren't good enough it's that simple.

Then those still here from last year like

NKP Chicksen Kai etc it's a joke.

Hopkin and those before him Collins Abbott(temp) and Grayson have all failed the question should be why? It can't all be their fault surely.

Damage was done in the summer when Edin signed this bunch of “footballers”. Until Hopkin can sign his own team he can’t be judged. We need a full clear out in the Jan/summer windows, but by then it will be to build a L2 promotion team for next season.

Actually we are on our fifth manager, if you add Abbott to the list.

The people who should be ‘getting the sack’ in descending order are:
    • Head of Football
    • Chief Scout.
    • All members of the ‘transfer committee’
    • Several of the players.
Hopkin is the last one who should be put under any significant pressure. He has in effect become a ‘deckchair attendant’ moving them around, trying to rearrange them, as the good ship SS Bradford City blithely heads towards the ice-berg!
The owners of club, may well have thought that their designs would create a vessel which was unsinkable, as it ploughed on it’s relentless journey towards the promised land of the Championship. Hell they even set a timetable! A combination of arrogance and distance from the actual operation have allowed this pending disaster to loom on the horizon!

People can dress it up as much as they like. Blame whoever they like. 1 win in 15 at any level is terrible.

he's doing an awful job but we're stuck - we can't sack him, no one will take the job on.

Whilst DH has been disappointing, I feel sorry for him. Currently there can’t be many harder jobs in English professional football. The mistakes Rahic has made are up with Richmond’s 6 weeks of madness. The difference is Richmond did his on impulse, Rahic implemented his long term vision. He’s been given a crap hand and the owners have left him with it. Without Rhodes coming in he may have left by now. We are probably already down. It’s not quite there yet but without a new defence and a target man, very soon we should should be switching from salvaging to planning for L2.
Hopkin may not be good enough right now with this squad but he might be a good choice for us in L2.
