yeah. If Parkinson was to return and Rupp was prepared to back him, I'd back PP to deliver and will 100% get behind the appointment. I'm just more reserved about bringing him back in our current situation. He didn't transform our fortunes on shoestring budgets the last time he was here which is what he'd be faced with thsi time around and I'd rather the dire situation we are currently in not potentially tarnish his legend status at the club.

His return would be great for season ticket sales though.

Someone's probably thought they spotted his car parked outside one of the curry emporiums up Leeds Road and put a tenner on him being announced in the morning.

 

Odds can move quick with these markets but maybe someone knows something?

I just saw that tweet. The tweet he was replying to also says Evans is favourite. Maybe he was replying to that rather than the Parky comment.

 

More likely somebody has read Bowyers comments this morning and slapped a tenner on

Either that or as you say Parky is interested. Could be either.

 

didn't Parkinson himself rule it out when speaking to Simon Parker earlier? could just be distancing himself from it as most managers in work do when they are linked with other jobs. or is mckeown just click-baiting.

 

Being honest, it was a typical short Parky type reply. If anything it might have legs.

Wouldn't we have to pay Bolton compo if he comes? Wouldn't we have to pay Parky decent wages if he comes.
And by the way, wasn't he a bit of a prick when he left - deleting all the files and taking loads of stuff (including staff) with him?

 

Yes but he quickly saw the size of the prick that was taking over.

 

If he did come and we did pay compo then we are even more financially naive than I thought. Seriously, what club in their right mind would waver compo when their manager goes one way, and then pay it to that same club to get him back 3 years later.

Interesting one

 

If the potential new owners at Bolton takeover they want Mark Warburton so no compo. But if he waits a bit he will get a bigger club. Thinking about it he may be asked to have a go at saving us till the end of the season
