Linked because of Blackpool and their situation.

We need a manager that can drive the club forward not just be here because he handled Blackpool.

Scunny took McCall because he's a good manager.

    No mate..

My expenses a like a salary on it's on.

    Like the thought but no.

Might as well go for the Warnock, Kewell, Fowler, Nolan if you want to go down that route

For anyone under any doubt over the job Parky did, see this:

    upload_2019-2-28_17-30-16.png

Without doubt the best manager we have had in a long long time and the atmosphere on match days was comfortably the best in the league.
Don't see him coming back, but would love it to be true

Personally, I'd like to see Michael Appleton (who I guess is still out of a job) given a chance as our new manager. But I've no idea whether he has even applied or not.

If we get Parky back it should increase the sale of M&S V neck jumpers down in Broadway

A quick decision is needed to give new manager half a chance. Can't afford the "we won't be rushed into a decision" malarky,if they do that the new man will be in charge of a basement club!

Whoever we have lined up will be in the stands on Saturday... If they're not already announced by then, keep your eyes peeled.

    https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/football/blackpool-fc/exclusive-former-blackpool-boss-gary-bowyer-has-had-no-contact-from-bradford-city-but-is-targeting-a-return-to-management-1-9620656

As of Wednesday Bowyer said that he has had no contact from us, but we were apparently still drawing up our shortlist at that time. As for whether he is interested

"“The size of the club is there for all to see. I’m guessing there will be hundreds of people interested.”

If we can't get Parkinson back then Bowyer would be my pick or maybe Hurst.

I dont dispute that Parkinson didn't turn the club around but something our fans overlook is that he also got backed to do it . He was given an excellent budget for the 2012/13 campaign which allowed him to build a squad full of top quality league 2 players. In addition to this, he was also fortunate to have Nahki Wells on the books, a 25 goal a season man who was the difference between promotion and another season in league 2

His second biggest league achievement was getting us into the league 1 playoffs, Another campaign where we'd pushed the boat out.

I thought we punched above our weight in the 2014/15 season but generally, league wise, PP achievements reflected the budget and players available to him and it's been exactly the same at Bolton. One of the highest league 1 budgets resulted in PP delivering them promotion and one of the lowest Championship budgets has seen them in 2 consecutive relegation battles.

Would i back him to turn us around again? It depends if Rupp was prepared to back him. If not we are in all likelihood going to struggle, PP at the helm or not.

I know he did a great job last time but i think our fans in general have unrealistic expectations of what PP can achieve on a shoestring budget. His success for the most part has has been aided by the amount of resources available to him and that's just the reality of football in general.

    He delivers on a budget.

He delivered on one which was far less than this season too. If he had full control this season since the summer we would be in the playoffs

So either he has applied and we haven't been in touch yet (impatient), or he hasn't applied and seems surprised we haven't contacted him (arrogant). Wonder which one it is?
