Not surprised with Doyle, he doesn’t want to be at the club so any player that prefers to play in front of 6,000 every week can go for me, he can’t handle the crowds / expectation at BCFC so he’s a waste of a wage.

As for Vaughan, before the Morecambe game in October the City team had their pre-match meal at the Holiday Inn in Lancaster. We just happened to be staying there so got to have a chat with a few of the players and Bowyer. The players were spread across 3 long tables apart from Vaughan who was sat on his own. He’d just come back from suspension and I suspect had been told he wasn’t starting as he was on the bench. He certainly didn’t seem very happy. I think that’s carried on.

Saying that, Doyle and Vaughan are probably just sick of the ball flying aimlessly over their heads

 

I’d rather keep the players and let a decent manager have a go with them

 

I’ve also Heard that Vaughan can’t work with Bowyer.

Also Bowyer has 2 games left at the maximum.

Not sure how true it is but my source is never far off.

Not surprised by either Doyle never wanted to be here and tbh unlike the majority I ain't bothered he is going. As for Vaughan I said he was a mistake in the summer has a attitude problem is injury prone although done ok on that front this season always gets booked and would never score the goals to get us up.

 

It doesn't matter what happens TOMORROW - we've just given away the top scorers in the division.

The XI we field might become Hercules' overnight - but that would be one game...

 

Get the fund started back up . It forced one .....

 

Maybe the rest of the players told Bowyer what they thought of Doyle and Vaughan........ just a thought

 

I said when Doyle came back that he wouldnt be here come feb, so that doesnt surprise me.

But how are we going to replace them? We're maxed out on loans. And the only club stupid enough to sell decent strikers in January is us.

 

So Bowyer is worth more than Doyle and Vaughan, despite the fact fans hate him?

It's obvious to me who should leave..

 

So you're Bowyer...

You're two best players, or at least two of the best players in the division regardless of actual performances FOR YOU, tell you to stuff it and they don't want to play for you.

The fans HATE you, and you're on borrowed time.

Do you:

A) Sell Doyle and loan out Vaughan in an attempt to win over the dressing room?

or

B) Man up, and show a SHRED of self-respect, decency, and understanding of the football club and the feeling of the fans enough to resign and accept you have failed.

Why the actual **** would you pick A??? So that when you get sacked in a few weeks you become the single most hated man in Bradford City history??!!

Bowyer, you have ****ed up big time.

Apparently he's car sharing up to VP with Spicer and Horsefield. Expect a triple signing to be announced shortly.

We've a complete clusterbollocks of the Doyle thing. I said at the time that bringing him back was a big risk for Bowyer, because if he went from the form he was in at Swindon to doing bugger all here, it would ramp up the pressure on Bowyer massively.

He didn't want to come back. The club would've taken less flak if they'd just done the deal first time round than they're going to get now.

We're just a fundamentally, mis-managed football club.

 

Looks like Swindon have played a blinder whereas bringing him back for 4 games and not creating a single chance for him has made us look utterly tin pot. I also remarked at the time this could make or break Bowyer, it looks like it has.

 

This and Rupp did say not long back extra funds are available. I don't think these are fully financially driven, most likely is Doyle came back under the knowledge one club would back down at some point in Jan and he'll get his move.

The Vaughan one is odd because he is only being loaned out. Screams to me the rumours are right and he and GB dont get on. If the club back Vaughan, they over rule the manager and leave him in a position of no power and they might as well sack him. Bowyer's city career might be on deaths door but giving into player power is never a good sign for future managers to see either. This way he can come back in the summer when teams have money in the pocket to sort out a transfer out if GB is still here. Or more likely, Bowyer will be gone by then and Vaughan comes back, again if not teams have spare cash in summer, which they dont in Jan.
