Sunak uses this line quite often whilst overlooking over 100k of "illegal immigrants" entered the country last year and a further 750k were waved in with visas. They don't care, infact it's only an issue for them now because they are losing votes to Reform.

Everyone in the UK is paying more in light and heat costs since power companies were given the green light to raise costs since 1st January meanwhile Sunak hands out £2.5bn to Ukraine and sees Tata steel announce closure 4 months after handing them £1bn. It's amazing how some people can't be helped but Sunak has billions to throw at others.

 

Also need to factor in the billions to be paid out following the Post Office and blood transfusion scandals.

 

For the poor it's austerity. For the rich it's just another day at the office. All the rising costs and the billions given away by Sunak have made the likes of him and his cronies even richer than they were before.

 

£2.5bn is a bargain if it helps keeps the Russians at bay, Wales Tata plant losing a million pounds a day, steel will be produced in India then exported to us mugs that are hell bent on net zero, we only have ourselves to blame for following this stupid inane ideology....

There are right wingers, and then there are the loopy extremist ones, currently taking over the Tory Party, who think that everyone is as extremist as they are, They stupidly believe that the way to win favour and votes is to drag the party ever more extremely to the right. So they focus on divisive culture wars, attacking ‘wokeness’ and demonising immigrants, when all the evidence is that what the public are going to vote on is the way their personal finances have declined so badly, and the parlous state of the NHS and public services. These extremists are the exact right wing equivalent of the loony lefties who believe that the reason Labour loses elections is because they aren’t left wing enough.

Looks like Sunak's warped rant at the Lords last week has bit him in the arse.

No doubt votes were cast tonight to stick 2 fingers up at him for basically telling them to wave it through unchecked.

Now we will find ourselves in a position where an unelected PM is blaming an unelected chamber of blocking the will off the people whilst he sits 27 points behind in the polls.
