    My post was more in relation to clarity many suggest what he'd been charged with now its public knowledge, as yourself if the Mods dont think it appropriate by all means delete the thread.

    There are significant restrictions on what can be 'reported' and Bantam Talk is not immune from these.

    "Statutory contempt law bans the media from publishing or broadcasting, including on the internet, any comments or information that might seriously prejudice active legal proceedings, in particular criminal proceedings heard before juries. The concern is that a juror might hear or see something outside of the courtroom that would sway him/her when he/she is deciding whether an accused person is innocent or guilty."     I suspect that this thread may well get locked at some point but, basically, it is generally okay to mention, and link to, reports from reputable media sources. It is most certainly not okay to discuss virtually anything else related to the case.

    Any post that strays from the above (or one that quotes another post that has strayed from the above) will be deleted.

    Basically, the next thing that should be on this thread is a simple report (with link) of the new court date. I do not expect to see anything else until then.

    When information is unclear, I always tend to side with the accused, but now there's more info, it's not looking good for him really. Just hope he learns his lesson.

    He did know better - but carried on regardless. And filmed it. Kinda shows his intelligence somewhat. In this day and age, it's hard to know the age of girls during their teens, and that's where I give a little bit of leeway etc. Takes two to tango. But as the report says, he knew from the off. That's just stupid and plain wrong.
    Anyway, I'll shut up now, as I know the mods get twitchy. Sorry for commenting, and I hope I haven't said anything untoward.

    That's the thing though - he's been charged with engaging in sexual activity with a 14 year old. Not rape. I'd go so far as saying she's probably as stupid as he is, as she also certainly knew what she was doing.
    Look at Hudson Odoi at Chelsea. He gets arrested over a rape charge, and now it's dropped. There's no talk about the girl who made the false accusations getting arrested, the same way there's no talk about what a stressful time he must have had through all this made up case.
    Robinson could probably have the pick of the girls in a nightclub. Who's to say he didn't pick this girl from a nightclub? If he did, I doubt the club would get fined for letting in underage girls - many of them do it on purpose to get the lads in. I don't think he's a groomer. I don't think he's a predator. I don't think he's a pedophile. I just think he got above his station with a girl who probably fancied him as a footballer, and as he's not very bright, he took advantage of the situation without thinking of the full consequences (think Adam Johnson). A stupid decision led by his dick and his ego, he will regret for the rest of his life. Sharing photos on Snapchat - now that is just a massive facepalm, and he deserves to get time for that, because it's disrespectful, arrogant and downright ignorant. I'm not defending him, I'm just trying to second guess what happened. He broke the law, and he's already paying for the mistake he made. Will he get time? Not sure. First offence, promising career and all that. The sharing though - that's what is going to get him in trouble.

    I used to work for HM Customs and Excise in the Anti Smuggling Unit. Believe me, there's a massive difference to a footballer showing off and shagging a 14 year old, compared to a fifty year old bloke threatening to break a 4 years old arm if they don't comply. I've seen the videos and cannot unsee them, yet some "people" trade and enjoy these films.
