    Maybe we've negotiated with him and he wants to make a career here? End of the day if he does well he could get a move higher and better wages again. He could come to us and restart his career after not making it at Peterbrough

    I think ( or hope ) this is a sign that players, and for that matter agents are going to become more realistic about wage demands .

    Am I the only one who thought Cooke didn't do too much for us? Never looked liked he could be bothered. Hopefully he pulls his socks up if he becomes our actual player rather than a loan one.

    Looks nailed on doesn't it? I can see one striker leaving at least when he does come in, especially with 3 of the ones already here the wrong side of 30. An on form Billy Clarke is a fair signing but hardly smacks of a club with a vision does it.

    He rediscovered a bit of form at Grimsby, him and Vernham were their creative outlets and both are leaving. Would have been better to have got Vernham though.

    When Cooke first arrived and was playing in his favoured attacking midfield role, he looked a good player to me, one of our better players in that Autumn spell when we were doing well. However, Bowyer then thought it best to play him in a more defensive role, and he didn't look the same player.

    I would welcome him back with open arms, and if he does return, hopefully McCall sees fit to play him in an attacking midfield role, with perhaps the Wolves lad Watt coming in for the defensive midfield role?
