I was merely debunking your nonsense that players don't relocate from the south, that's what you said. Yes, they all relocated for the money, none moved to play for free.

But as you asked...Wright, Reeves, Chicksen off the top of my head. Moved from southern clubs and relocated up north. Could argue a case for Paul Anderson moving from Ipswich too. A long way to move!!!

It happens, not as much as the obvious but it happens.

I agree but I'm guessing most established players are financially ok. Moving kids out of school, maybe the Wife's job, leaving friends and family and selling the house is a big thing.

I'd say in 90% of cases you will take a team on your door step for the same money than a team 200 miles away. Attendances won't come into it!!!

Does a salary cap cover the whole playing staff at a club for instance could we run a development Squad alongside the first team without breaking the cap

Current plan is that the cap only applies to the playing staff over 21 whether our own players or loanees. But until the rules are agreed at the end of the month that could possibly change.

Was just stating what the telegraph said! sure most fans would be happy on here if we signed a player who was voted there player of the year etc it’s only because he’s an ex player who had a bad second spell in a team that was shocking to say the least, plus he was coming back from a long injury! Just saying maybe cut him so slack! Rather have a player who wants to play for the club rather than another who’s coming for there final payday!

How do you know he wouldn't be coming here for a final payday?

No, I think fans just know he's past his best, hes slow and not what we need.

He’s not gunna be on mega bucks is he? Not saying I want him to sign but end of day to many city fans want all these marquee signings and they haven’t worked out now for last two seasons

Surely they don't buy, you'd rent if you thought that you wouldn't be staying longer than 18/24 months...

Nah, think people just remember how rubbish how he was last time he was here and we don't need him.

Billy is a good player and if we can make space for him to play he will open teams up, You cannot judge him by his last stay here for obvious reasons, McCall likes to play football and that will suit billy unlike last time he was here

Not a bad post, but I said players don't often relocate.

What with players like Marshall commuting long distances, I think it's fair to say at this level there is some truth to that.

It certainly didn't warrant your aggressive 'debunking' attempt, but never mind.

You mean like faffing around in central midfield where we already have 2/3 other central midfielders and there's no space while he leaves his alleged strike partner isolated miles up the pitch. Yep, that worked well.
