I did say after watching "4 Captains" it would not surprise me to see any of the past 3 players returning, Billy Clarke, Colin Doyle or Tony McMahon.

How accurate is this guy Nick Mashiter, with a name like that not too good I would have thought.

Yes there was plenty of banter flying about during the video, especially from Doyle's wife who posted they still live in Bingley, it wouldn't surprise me in the least, all 3 would be cheap signings and McCall knows them inside out, I'm not saying they would be my choice but stranger things have happened in football.

 

Shame Mills and Blake didn't take part in that video..!!

 

Nothing against Clarke but not impressed if he is our first signining - based on his age and what he appeared to offer in his last short spell.

 

Just a thought to really send shivers up the spine, what if we really went down route of previous players and go for Hanson aswell......

I personally think Clarke would be a good player to sign because he can play a number of positions plus when he’s on his game he’s a good player and makes thing happen

 

If this is in fact true and Clarke signs I'll be gobsmacked. Screams of nothing more than short sightedness and incredibly lazy recruitment. Old boys club living on past glories, when it's a buyers market and real talent to be had for knock down prices. If that's the best we can do then we can expect an utterly dreadful season ahead folks...

City can afford scouts- i highly doubt it at the moment.
He will fit nicely alongside the ancient Donaldson/Vaughan and Novak.
Good job they never get injured and City will be looking to trim the squad.

Not a signing to inspire the punters that this club is keen to get out of the khazi league.

 

It happens regularly, a manager goes to a club and brings in players he's worked with in the past and knows the player can do a job for him, at the end of the day it's McCalls decision and he will be judged on his and his teams performance over the coming season.

I want an athletic younger midfielder running the show not Clarke he's sluggish at best.

 

I'd take Law and Marshall back at the drop of a hat, way better than anything we're likely to end up with. Law gets a lot of stick which is completely unwarranted.
