Transfers (also ambition/investment/ground & lots more.....)

Let's have an idea when the season will start before thinking about transfers.

You do understand that come the end of the month that no income will be coming in?

I suggest this thread is a little too early.

 

Is it so you can say typical we wait to sign players when every other club have theirs signed up and then go on about it until the next window.

 

We can re- adjust at Christmas .

 

Or just after.

 

No league 2 clubs are signing players right now.

We don't even know when or if we will be playing anytime soon.

 

It doesn't mean they aren't sounding players and agents out about possibility of signing.

Never heard of him Park. However, as you say, known to McCall, and if decent, possibly the type of player on radar. Like most managers, I'm sure McCall will be considering players and characters known to him

I think Rupp has a choice to make, either sit back wait and see what happens or get pro active, tell McCall go and assemble a team that wins this division when ever it returns, giving him some chance to get some return on investment. Do nothing and he could lose the 6 or 7 million originally invested

 

Always liked Bostwick. Just the type of a beast of a centre half I would have in my team. However, we already have 5 centre backs under contract if you include the youngsters French and Staunton

 

Could do a lot worse than Scully if you're looking at midfielders

 

You're right about not knowing when we will be playing but that doesn't stop activity behind the scenes.
Vale, for example seem to be close to signing 4/6 new players including 2 from non league.
Season start is increasingly being talked of Oct. but I stick with 21st Nov. That brings the question of the Transfer Window which I would have from the time the new season date is announced OR from the week after the last Play Off game until end Jan 21 with no window closure at all for loans outside the PL.
All this for one season only then reviewed. Sadly as the EFL et al are incapable of only dealing with one thing at once, then appallingly I think we can expect more chaos or decisions which fail to recognise reality.

 

Oh I am sure McCall and Kenny have a list of players that's they're interested in but we don't know what's going on with league 1 & Non League as yet and the Championship plus PL are hopefully finishing so who knows what players will be released from them.

Port Vale jumping the gun in my mind. I don't see the rush.

The Woman's league ended yesterday and they have a start date of the 5/6 of September. This is how it should be. Not point talking about when to start. Get a date and run with if so clubs and players have something to aim for. It's a mess!

 

I'd say it's ok and safe to think about transfers on a message board which has no bearing on club decisions.

 

Why? Vale going next far too early.

Nothing wrong with having lists but better players will become available soon.

I would rather wait a few weeks to make moves when league 1 start to release players

 

It's ok to talk about when I will have a midget party again but need to get real as I haven't got a clue when I can hold it.
