    Agreed. But he never gets any credit in the games where he doesn't score but often creates space and chances for others. 7 assists and 15 goals doesn't justify the hassle he gets

    Strikers get hassle, when they don't score and the team aren't winning . Magennis, gets some horrendous hassle from Charlton fans

    Personally, I think Wyke is one of our more classier signings in our history. His touch is of a higher quality. He does need to stop those phases when he gets too down on himself

    In respect of Wyke, my view is that he does some thing well, but could do other things better.

    • Holds the ball up well.
    • Some upper body strength.
    • Decent in the penalty box and has good feet.
    However I think he could do better in some areas:
    • Work on his pace, he struggles to break free.
    • Shoot from outside the box.
    • His ability to win and score with headers could be better.
    The fact that there are those difficulties, explains why he is good, but not a great striker.

    You think his ability to score with headers could be better?!

    He pretty much exclusively scores headers and tap ins, and had been scoring plenty for about 18 months prior to a poor 3 month spell of form?

    My view John! I think he is a good, but not a great, centre forward. I think he could up his game.

    Bigrod is right though. For a big lad, who is clearly decent in the air, how many times does he win headers from free-kicks or corners? I’d say Vincelot has been more dangerous from those positions and our centre-back pairing win more headers too. How come he can’t win those headers, yet he can in our own area or outside the box? And when he does get his head on the end of a cross, how many beat the keeper? It’s his biggest strength yet he doesn’t excel at it

    Oh, okay, fair enough.

    Definitely can improve facets of his game - easily good enough for this level, and a player we must try to retain barring silly offers (which are unlikely to come this Summer).

    We should be building a side around Wyke, Robinson, McGowan and Doyle this summer. That's already the basis of a top league 1 side. Now we just need quality in the other areas.

    While Doyle isn't great, we're not going to get a cheap, easy option that isn't a stop-gap loan.

    I think if our non-essential playing staff also included Law, Vincelot and Reeves, we could have a chance.

    Nicky Law has put in far more good performances than Reeves, but I'd keep both personally - and add more quality, ideally.

    Keep calling him a crab if it makes you think you sound like you know what you’re talking about. But I’m not sure how a ‘crab’ (known for going side to side), could have 5 assists to his name. This being the highest amount from ANY of our midfielders.

    As much as I like a fully fit Reeves, he rarely ventured forward and when he did, he never created anything. And yet you call Law a crab. Ummm, not sure I get the logic
