I have to agree about Riley. I've mulled over his situation for about 6 months, now ......... and I still can't see what his own personal footballing objectives are !!

Here's a kid who shunned all interest - To try and force his way into Man Utd's first eleven, yet now comes across as a little snot who doesn't give a toss if he plays for the Dog and Duck 'B' team for the rest of his days. Really puzzling.

I understand what you are saying, but we didn’t play like that when we came out of lg2 last time. I saw, a lack of desire to go forward and score. Plus lack of quality in passing and strategy tbh. So yes edgy, and I thought it might be like that for 20 minutes or so, but you can’t win matches unless you are prepared to go for it.

 

Newport have twelve players out of contract soon, we could do worse than looking at a couple of those.

 

I think Doyle will do a job next season in league 2 when played correctly. However for his apparent 5k wage I wouldn't be bothered if he left and we could sign 2 strikers for that money.

 

Their fullback Butler and forward Matt look handy enough for L2. Butler likes to get forward and cross, and Matt looks like a unit and a handful in and around box

 

We were direct in league two. No doubt about that.

I don’t think it’s a lack of desire to score, more two nervous sides who were desperate to get promoted. Two sides that were pretty even in the league when playing each other two and cancelled each other out. Some games are like that. In the league it was 0-0 and 0-1 in games head to head with each other. Why would yesterday be different with more riding on it?
