Yeah but let’s remember that BCFC fans are notoriously good at writing off a player they’ve never heard of before he’s even kicked a ball in claret and amber.

It would be far more exciting if we were signing proven exciting players like Scannell, Doyle, Wright, Akpan and Payne on big money as we’ll be guaranteed promotion to the championship....

 

Scannell was announced as our strongest player in pre season, yet couldn't beat an egg never mind a man in the games that he's played. Match experience and know how is much more important that being the quickest or fittest.

Not sure why Scannell is getting any grief at all. Our fan base does get rather bitter when a player is moving.
He was very unlucky with injuries last season and it will take time for him to find some form and fitness after such a stop start 18/19 season. I wouldnt say he has been poor this season either. We have chopped and changed formations and he has been in and out of the team. Again - difficult to get any kind of form when the tactics and starting 11 arent consistent. He will be a loss to us in the long run.
Sad we have to slag players off that are leaving. Wish the lad well and move on.

 

If you're referring to me, I'm not bitter in the slightest. 1 assist and 1 goal since he joined us is nowhere near good enough. I just don't see the hype. He's had his chances and it hasn't worked out, we will move on and be better for it. If it works out for him at Blackpool then good luck to him, the same with Doyle. Some players just fit clubs and others don't.

 

Whilst some are I think the majority are looking at what he's done since being here which is next to nothing.

He won't be a loss to us long term as he hasn't been involved enough or contributed enough to warrant being a loss.

 

Clearly was the strongest hence why he was so sluggish..

Disagree. Many footballers are smart erudite and do lots of good work behind the scenes. Others are bell ends.

 

Our transfer policy over the past 2 years has been reliant on the later.

 

I'd suggest were no better or worse than any other clubs fans, it comes with the territory supporting your football team and having an outlet to express your opinion.
And let's be honest a you tube video snippet can make any player look a world better.

 

I think were getting the best of the deal if Scanell goes, as you say bad injury last season, it's plain to see he can't do 90 minutes Bowyer has quoted as much "easing him back" so I wish him well if he goes to Blackpool, but it just seems to be taking a while maybe they have had second thoughts with regards his back problem and his medical.

 

Strange innit, the way some are going it’s as if the team last season were the worst in the country and showed no backbone as the ended bottom despite a healthy budget. Can’t people just be happy with players when the get 1 goal, and 1 assist in 24 games ffs.

I’ve only seen Scannell play once this season, far from pacey though, bang average, did we sign something different to what we though we were getting.

Move is good all round he has been 2018-19 equivalent of Aaron Maclean.

City are now expected to sign Blackpool midfielder Harry Pritchard.

 

I know scannell contributed little but this still feels like a downgrade.

 

The appeal of taking a jet ski out every morning was too good to turn down.
