I have a little bit of scepticism on this, but I'll put this one out there from what I have been told. A rumour anyway
We've offered £50k to the Bolton administrator for Jason Lowe. Apparently a CM and was Bowyer's captain at Blackburn He want 's a 2 yr deal which though would make him the highest paid player. City trying to to a deal similar to Vaughan ie 3 year but with the money's he want's stretched over those 3 years.

 

Would be a good signing, type of player that would free up palmer in the centre of the park to be more creative

 

We are desperate for that central midfielder. That and a tweak of tactic and we will be a good side at this level.

We need that spearing type as people have said. Ben Pearson is very good at it too at Preston if anyone has seen him. Always gets booked but controls a game and is tough in there

 

Palmer is in no way a creative player. I don't know why people keep saying this. He's never been creative. He's a Law type player.

If only we had Law instead of Doyle at the tip of the diamond. A man with excellent close control, time on the ball, vision, and a range of passing that Doyle could only dream of. Vaughan and Donaldson would score hatfuls.
Such a shame that Stuart played him out of position, wide left, most of the time. On the few occasions he played in attacking central midfield he bossed games in L1 and would easily do so in L2

 

I'd been saying that for 18 months while Law was here. He always influenced games a lot more while playing centrally although his reluctance to shoot sometimes let him down slightly.

 

Palmer is a crab. One of those 'tidy' players who folk think are far better and more effective than they actually are.

He has offered absolutely nothing in the two games this season. Oh and he pulled out of two tackles yesterday as well.

A reason Rotherham don't want him.

 

Law got a lot of unwarranted stick, as Monkey said his reluctance to shoot at times was a problem but doesn't seem to have had that problem at Exeter, maybe it was a managers call. A player we could do with right now. Having sat through the first two games as it stands i'm pessimistic for the season. Players who offered nothing last season continue to do so hampering the players we have brought in. We have a non existent midfield and no back up whatsoever if either Vaughan or Donaldson get injured. I'm expecting new faces through the door next week, without that its gonna be a hell of a long season.
