I thought this myself.

I have very little sympathy for Bolton fans, they have shown very little humility over the last few years despite the unfair financial practices of their owners and the good job that Parkinson has done by getting them back to the Championship. We have suffered for our administrations, it's time for them to suffer too.

 

Do you think anyone's told him he'll be paid fresh air?

 

Bolton takeover almost completed. They have players lined up to sign.
Heard that maybe a friendly against us tomorrow behind closed doors also lined up

 

Apparently will play for them against us in a behind closed doors game tomorrow according to sky sports.

 

I thought we were playing BPA tomorrow

 

Thats tomorrow evening and I'm sure that will be our kids and last chance for triallists

 

Well if we are now playing Bolton behind closed doors instead, at least it will give Bowyer a chance to have a look at another 22 trialists at BPA

True that. I feel quite cheated. Got my hopes up last week when we had an Albanian on trial (joke there somewhere), but since then nothing.

I wouldn't be giving Bolton a thing. Send the boys to BPA for the paying fans and give Parky a team of trialists and kids

I agree, but the treatment of Parkinson isn't particularly unfair

When we were bang in the middle of our financial admin crises, we were hardly overly endeared with Colin Todd.

The main criticism?

Boring football - but it was boring football that kept us top half despite crippling financial disadvantages.

Unfortunately, a club's history in the last decade informs fans' opinions. We wanted more than Todd was able to deliver, Bolton want more than Parkinson can deliver - but neither clubs, in either situation, deserved anything more - we were both getting very good value given the circumstances.

 

He is to most of us!

I think in it’s hastily arranged state, the Bolton game will be using our youth team. Not fair on BPA if we send a load of second teamers because of a last min arrangement. Could be a good opportunity to look at some triallists behind closed doors too.

 

Can’t understand the logic in not being happy about this game against Bolton.

Bowyer clearly thinks it will be beneficial. Gives us chance to play players who may not have featured until the weekend and another look at trialists or even gives the youth a testing run out with no league now for them.

If Bowyer has signed off on it then it’s worth it. Who cares what side we send to either? We owe no other club anything. It’s about getting it right for us
