He’s not a central midfielder, at all ever. Too slow, can’t pass, all the nallmarks of a lower league centre back. If we want central midfielders lets recruit central midfielders, not shoehorn a defender in there.

Come on folks, don't be falling soft, theses players are why we finished rock bottom of a fairly average league one.
They've no bottle, backbone or leadership.
Their couldn't care less attitude needs to be as far away from the new lads as possible.

TBF, he played well in the home game against Sunderland and I felt we were unlucky to lose that one. Didn’t he also chip in with a goal?

And if I remember rightly, he played well in the New Years Day win against Accie Stanley.

There must be teams interested in A O’Connor. You’d look at the fact he played 49 games and banged in 6 goals for a centre-half and think he’d do a job.

Not a rumour. Interested in what the thoughts are on bringing Jacob Butterfield back on a permanent if it was hypothetically doable compared to say bringing in a youngster on loan from the Championship? He didn’t seem to get into his stride but I’d like to see him back.

 

If his wages could fit into the budget and still allow us to bring in the other bodies we'd need then it's a no brainer. He's got bags of talent and in a decent side he possesses the ability to unlock defences for fun.

Can't see it happening though, you'd have thought he'd pick up a club at least one division higher than us.

 

Yeah i wouldnt mind that, but i dont think he is worth a substantial fee. Do think his contract expires soon though as he had a 4 year deal with Derby so who knows!

 

He's been offered and may have even signed another contract with Derby on vastly reduced wages I believe. They still expect him to go though.

 

Mayor looks like he's currently in Plymouth, so can rule that one out

Butterfield will have to see who new manager is
if Lampard goes to Chelsea.I'd have him back and
I think with players we've recruited he will be more
suited to playing with them.

We can forget about Mark Cullen he’s signed for Port Vale.

 

I honestly can't remember. I think at least one was an away game. Probably around November when our performances started to improve ahead of our December purple patch.
