Dembele would be new to this level, as such, whereas Crooks is already known. The surprising thing with Crooks he ended up in Northants - CAN City compete with wages, if a) Crooks is still good enough, and b) Wants to come ?
Dembele ? Very much an open door I'm not too fussed about.

 

Weren't we looking at him before he and Windass went to Rangers, apparently Rangers paid £60,000 for each player, he couldn't make regular apperances at Rangers and moved to Northampton for an undisclosed fee, he was part of that team that got relegate so he shouldn't cost an arm and a leg, he likes his battles sent off 3 times last season and 13 yellows, and at 6'4" is always an asset at set pieces.

 

Seriously underwhelmed if we sign Crooks.

Yes you're not a fan are you. we would also need some creative players to play around him, but I seriously believe he would add to the squad and make us better.

 

Let's hope we are still laughing after its proved wrong, that would rate as a poor signing to me, if this team is going to perform this season we need IMO better than that lad, as we now know it not an easy start to this coming season, it's going to be a test of the players and our football management team.

 

Can only comment about Crooks based on his performances for Scunny. Seemed to be one of their best players when he was there and he played very well against us. Big strong and likes a tackle plus he’s only 24 so still young enough to improve.

I’d class him as a solid signing who’d add bite to the midfield. A fit and firing Reeves & Crooks partnership could prove very useful.

 

I personally understand your point. The lad is only OK.
At this stage, City need 4 or 5 quality players - and Crooks should be way down the list.

 

We've got reeves and wright but the only ball winner is vincerlot and his legs have gone crooks is a big strong defensive midfielder which is what we need if we're going to play open attacking football like a Rahic wants
