Agree with most of that, but poor as Chicksen has been of late, he is still a better defender than Tyrell.

 

Why do we bother paying him? Why don't we do a Bolton and not bother paying loan players and let parent club do it as FRGR and NCFC have alleged this week....surprised Edin didn't think of that or maybe he did.......

 

Saw in a paper the other day, Chelsea have sold £140 mill of talent (just 13 kids) over last 3 years with less than 50 first team appearances between them!!! Money is ruining football from the top down, greedy buggers who can afford to sweep up any kids they want and as many as they want and just get rid when they want. Look at MCFCs last 2 cup games against L1 opposition, 16 - 0 aggregate and these have been former Championship clubs as well.

 

Just been reading about Doidge being recalled from his loan spell at Bolton. Any chance we could bring him here?

 

He isn't proven at L1, just L2. His spell at Luton has been poor.

 

Already played for fgr this season so can only play for them or Bolton now

 

I doubt it;DH has said he will move on if player is not keen. He wants players who are enthusiastic and really want to play for BC.

 

Be very happy with Butterfield if we could tempt him here

I've said many times before, squad numbers should be limited, if any club wants to sign someone up then they first must ship one out...permanently, fed up of the present loan system, should be restricted to 2 per club at most...

It's probably for another thread in general football rather than here, but it would interesting to know how many of those 13 kids have gone on to be value for money.

 

its the only way Chelsea meet financial fair play. It’s lije these clubs have a players shop attached to the club. Not interested in them making the first team as These sales help fund the first team for financial fair play. Not much help to the lesser clubs who these players may have played for and made them a few million

 

I partly agree that the current system needs an overhaul.

My issue is clubs like Chelsea et al, hovering up all the young talent and then spitting them out at 20/21. On the flip side, the level of coaching they’d receive in comparison to being at say us, or Blackpool for example is chalk and cheese.

At least when they are released, they have a better chance of falling down the leagues into league 1 or 2 club, than the others who’d probably fall into non league or out of the game.
