And there cometh the death knell
Agree with most O C M - But I suspect suspensions first and then injuries could well become more than a hindrance. It is good that the squad is now gelling and playing as a group - That factor will become more dependable, as the season progresses / unfolds ....... With possible suspensions and injuries queuing up, as weeks go by.
Other teams too will start to 'find their feet' - Here's hoping it's not at Citys expense.

It isn't based on likelihood of an outcome, it's based on likelihood of bets being placed.
"Odds compiling was more about knowing the punters and their habits than the actual percentage probability of outcomes. Even now this particular area is the difference between bookmaking and punting. Bookmakers have to anticipate money flow whereas the punter has to determine the probability of outcomes and find value."

Morecambe is the first time this season I've seriously thought we might smash a few past a side - and I hope that happens, to add a little more positivity to the team and fanbase. Most games have been hard-fought and fairly close affairs - and I expect that will continue for some time.
The criticism until recently was we had got some results without performing 'well' - I have a sneaking suspicion that criticism might reoccur throughout the season, but what matters is that we're in the top seven at the business end of the season.RonnieBrown likes this. -
Name 3 better sides or sides that should be in the automatic places?

I'm an avid reader of WOAP, but the article in question was just 'strange'..... Almost BAZAAR, rather than bizarre. I personally felt that had you written a piece about Gary Bowyer further building his squad, rather than adjusting, it would have made for better reading. Telling your readers something they didn't already know ......
Is our current squad the one which GB had in mind from the off, or had his hand been forced due to an average start ? Now that would have made better reading. Yes, we all have time on our hands, Jason. However, to welcome or attract a greater reader base, it would be better to address issues that are informative, rather than the obvious.
Please don't feel insulted by my comments, as I and thousands of others read WOAP often, and a seemingly odd post now and again should be expected.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Andy Pringle likes this. -

So I just found your post odd, that’s all. It feels like you’re looking for hidden meaning that isn’t there. You give me too much credit.
On your question about did the poor start cause Gary Bowyer to change his squad building and should I write an article on it, I haven’t seen it that way at all so I guess it doesn’t make sense. All summer long after making those 10 initial signings, Bowyer said he wasn’t done with signings, and that it would go right to the end of the transfer window. It was very obvious he was waiting for players to go out (I think the T&A said as much) to free up wages with the old Financial Fair Play rules. So once Scannell and Doyle left, it meant he could bring in players he had lined up. A good example is Callum Cooke, who it was commonly known was lined up to come in but couldn’t be signed until players moved on.
So I guess to me it is an obvious narrative because it has been well-publicised. The angle you’re hinting at, did he panic and make signings, I would say it more like the 2015/16 season when Phil Parkinson had built a squad in the summer, we had a terrible start, so Lawn and Rhodes allowed him to bring in Davante Cole, Lee Evans, Reece Burke and Kyel Reid – that to me is an obvious example of clearly changing path. I don’t see Bowyer having done that this time.JimmyBantam likes this. -
