Since my question this morning, no one has suggested any alternative players. Happy to put the boot in on Theo Robinson but can’t give us any other names.

Adams is not impressed in his post match interview. Stopped short of saying no idea, when asked what he brings to us.

 

Let's hope we've signed the Theo Robinson that was at Colchester and not the lazy Theo Robinson that was at Vale if you get the gist.

 

It is pretty clear the chief scout is the one suggesting players to the club, It was probably put to Adams that it was hobsons choice of either this player the club can afford or nothing,

Or are we just judging 32 year old players on one season. In that case it's a wonder that anyone wanted Doyle after his time with us

Any chance fans can actually be objective when judging a player. He's clearly a problem child, hence all the clubs - but he's not someone who has the poor goal scoring record you seem to think - after all Port Vale were hardly an expansive chance creating team last season

Also, couldn't it be that Adams is a bit pissed off about conceding 5 goals without reply in the last two matches

 

And let's not forget a very good performance away at Mansfield, yes it could have gone either way but Adams changed things late in the game to give us that chance by bringing a knackered Callum Cooke off and bringing fresh legs on in Crankshaw.

 

I'm disappointed we didn't sign a defender if we lose Canavan we'll fall to pieces in my opinion look how weak we look with our back up I know Adams teams concede a lot of goals but we're running a very big risk of catastrophe if he gets injured it would be bad enough if Paudie is out for a long time

I've said for a while that we just need to give the squad thats been assembled a chance. I stand by that - but on the face of it, our summer recruitment looks to have been largely done on the cheap and on the assumption that Adams can work his magic.

Its frustrating, because with just a little more, to have added a couple of quality players beyond what we've got, I'd have been confident of at least the top 7. Now, I think its far less certain.
