Now if you were talking about Spinach I would completely agree
But parsnips roasted correctly are a taste to behold
Grown them in my veg patch for years

Spinach is lovely. A big pile of it, sweated in bitter. Yum!
And lamb & spinach curry is food of the gods.

Very easy to grow and full of antioxidants very good for your health
But attracts too many insects that destroy my other crops

Why are you growing or buying it if you don't like it?

    Interesting.

Trying to eat more of it, but not a huge fan. Not bad roasted.

I have to net mine but to keep the pigeons off. I grow cavolo nero - it is fantastic boiled, then drained and fried in olive oil with garlic and fennel seeds. Scrummy.

Flash fried in chilli oil, only needs a few seconds to crisp up.

    Sounds good to me
Gherkins with pickled herring (roll mops)
Beetroot with a sweet butter sauce
Or made into a black pudding for vegetarians
    Blimey am getting hungry now

Red Cabbage, cooked with onion, garlic, apple, sugar, red vinegar, port, demerara sugar, allspice, cinnamon and thyme. Cooked at 140 for 3 or so hours. A meal in itself. Mmmmm :)
