another point on the season ticket sales thing - folk that aren't as 'hardcore' as those of us on here simply won't be willing to chuck down £150 on the off chance that Gary Bowyer can get his team in and start doing well. the more casual fans will have seen what GB has managed to do so far and will be thoroughly turned off. there's very little incentive other than 'blind faith' at the moment, and what evidence is there that we'll be any different next season.

There is a little bit of a flaw in you're thinking - not a massive surprise really.

Whichever manager we appoint in the summer - unless we pull off a PP miracle - will be being judged on what they have done at other clubs.

Bowyer doing well at Blackpool is still just as relevant as Hurst doing well at Shrewsbury for example.

No excuses for u either! You have to wait for 10 matches before evaluating the team. I realise that is almost impossible, but I will keep reminding you;)

I’d say until Christmas personally. But I know folk won’t.

A whole new squad for the second summer in a row. Could be a slow start

It won’t be a complete new squad some of the present players will be here next year. The players we recruit need to bring strengths that allow us to get the best out of them

Spot on mate but wasted on @Fordy117@Fordy117 He won't understand your logic. Instead he will just come back throwing soundbites everywhere demanding this and that and the other from anyone and everyone.

Provided we can get rid of the deadwood, I think you'll agree this squad is useless and unless there are major changes we'll probably go down again

We cannot take many out of this squad into League 2. Simply not mentally or physically capable of sustaining in what essentially is a 48 team "National League". So little difference between the "non league tier" below and the bottom rung of the FL !. Next season Bowyer needs to be shopping in the non league NL & NL N&S as well as adding some robust FL characters & leaders in key positions down the spine of the team.

Rhodes attempting to "whip up" some enthusiasm for what will be a complete drudge of a 19/20 season. Says he's "really excited for the summer??. He's on his own there ? and shows a level of "delusion" engulfing the "exhaulted one". When we climbed out of the Football League "pit" in 2013 we did so with a team that for it's "fourth tier status" somehow managed to write itself into history as it's "makers". There was for a fourth tier team real leaders and quality in that team. Bowyers got a hell of a task trying to pick the pieces up from a disastrous squandering of a period of true progressivism on and off the field. Expect 11 brick sh1thouses in a "New Dark Age" in City History !
