That’s not what has been implied in the press recently

 

I can't understand why people always believe what is posted in the press when we know too well most of it is to appease the fans at the time.

 

Most of the players will be gone in my opinion, contracted or otherwise. I suspect Bowyer will have requested this and Rupp given the go ahead, otherwise I doubt Bowyer would be interested in stopping without reassurance that he can completely rebuild the squad

 

Wasn't this said at the time hopkin took over? Nobody outside the club knows what's been agreed.
We have been told by the club on numerous occasions they are ready to get dealings done as soon as the transfer windows open only to make panic signings 48 hours before it close waste loads of money and then start rolling excuses out.

Malcom Maconald for a big lad he had pace and physical presence, I remember Steve Ingle doing a similar job at Valley Parade obviously not anywhere near Malcom Macdonalds success.
Ironically my last memories of Macdonald at Luton was a 5 - 0 thumping .

 

Sounds a man of principle, he walked from Blackpool because he could not get a commitment from Oyston with regards the player budget.

 

Really? For me he was in a no lose situation just like he is here.

However, he's no fool. I hope he has agree a massive playing budget with Rupp and Rhodes because if we don't do well fans will turn on him.

Imagine being held responsible for the baggy pants and giant shoe-style defending of O'Connor and NKP. Imagine being held responsible for the 'performances' of Eoin Doyle and a myriad of poorly motivated loannees.

Bowyer probably doesn't want a single player we've got, so you cant be too harsh on himls failure to get them going.

Its an impossible task.

 

I believe he felt with the correct financial support he could get Blackpool in with a chance of another promotion this season.
I'm not up on who Blackpool signed the last closed season but would think the vast majority of Blackpool's players would have been "Bowyer signings", so I believe he had every right to ask for a good player budget last closed season.
