The Next Bradford City Manager Indicative Vote

Some on the list seem pretty unrealistic but whilst I'm unsure who the next manager should be I firmly believe Bowyer shouldn't be that man.

 

If we could wave a magic wand, PP or Paul Hurst for me, Bowyer has done literally nothing to improve us in anyway be it tactically or in terms of attitude and fight. In fact given his selection policy I’ve gone from being happy that we have him to scratching my head as to how he thinks his choices can win games.

 

But ultimately attitude and fight has to come from within.... and this shower have absolutely zero fight in them.

 

Hurst was my first choice when Hopkin walked. However, I am happy for Bowyer to continue. I reckon he has now decided who is worth keeping, and who we need to shift. He has probably already identified a few targets to bring in too.

Unlike some, I am overlooking his record so far here, due to the squad he has inherited, and I am backing him to do a similar job for us as he did so well at Blackpool

 

I agree he is the best available to us at the moment I like his manner whilst I Hope we don’t just roll over for the rest of this season it’s all about next season now. The sooner the appointment is confirmed the better

 

Stupid poll. We need stability for a change. Give Bowyer chance to get his own players in. Given finances and contracts, this might take some time. No more quick fixes, please.

 

I don't care what he did at Blackpool it's what he does at Bradford that counts and so far he is failing mate.

And I question your grip on reality to many midget gems I fear they have gone to your head. We have had five managers in a couple of years it’s time to allow this one time to get in his own players to play the way he wants.

 

He wants the same as me Fordy. A manager with a track record of success in league 2.

I look at the Blackpool team he took up and think he should of got them into automatic places.

Only interested in what a manager does for Bradford City and so far mate he's failing wouldn't you agree with that or am I misreading results and performances?

 

The club is a complete basket case from owners, through staff to players. No right minded manager who can manage at higher than L2 will touch it. Bowyer needs to be given time/resource to get rid and bring in new. If not, we will be down again next year. Time to move on from McCall.

 

How can you expect a manager to come in and change things when there are no options no wide players no physicality up front nothing to allow him to impose his style of play

 

The problem with that is he knew what position we were in Before he signed for the remainder of the season so he knew what he had to work with

 

Like Rhodes, I am looking beyond this season and cannot think of a more realistic option than Bowyer to rebuild our team and give us a chance of bouncing back to league 1

You are right in stating his results have been disappointing so far, but come on, who else could have realistically done a better job with the shambles of a squad he has inherited.

Out of interest, who would your choice be to be appointed manager, and why do you think your choice would be a better option?

We might as well of kept Drury on until the end of the season if results didn't matter.

 

True but it was an impossible task. I think he was appointed with a view to next season and a rebuilding process of which he has experience of at Blackpool
