When you've 15k fans going to home games and one of the best away followings in the league the fans will demand succes.

 

I used the wrong word there Dave I'm of the same thought of you stability of the club but I don't think hopkin is the man to do this so I'd bite the bullet now rather than later regards him

I hope he isn't expecting what he paid for it or we might really be in the shit as I can see him saying he won't be putting anything else into the club.

Best thing for all involved is he accepts what ever he is offered and goes back to Germany and slots rahic for making a complete f##k up of what he trusted him with.

 

Regards to this season Dave I think we are a lost cause but bringing someone in now will help prepare for league 2 so might get the players in pre season to help stabilise the club and who knows might even have a bit of fight in them

 

Good in theory but as already said-where is the money gonna come from to get these imaginary players to stabilise the club?

Hopefully by getting shut of some of the deadwood we have on the books now. Come May the loan players payments will have stopped so if we can pick up a few freebies we might stabilise mid table of league 2 for a season or so on the barebones of the funds I'm not saying we have to spend millions to get promoted straight back.

Just to bring them into the club so he knows who is still left at the end of the season and what he has to work with basically gets a free ride till May then we aren't in the situation of they aren't his players come the beginning of the season or he hasnt had a pre season with them.

 

In theory a good point but most,if not all, of the deadwood you allude to are contracted past next season. Good luck with paying them off AND providing a good enough budget to compete next season. Where is all this money coming from?

 

Hi keefly, you said to me a few weeks ago that all of my posts are negative. I see the trend has caught on. I'm not trying to pick at you... but its been a long season, and things don t look like they are going to get any better with the squad.

I thought a long while ago that we were bound for relegation. Hence the negative comments... it's hard to pick up any positives from performances since the run in December!

Not that i hope our fortunes don t change. But as I'm sure you understand, the chances are that all the hard word done until now to create a fan base will be undone once they see what league 2 has to offer.

 

In League 2 there WILL BE worse players at the club than this season!,that's what you get in League 2. All the loans will leave and those that can will want to try for something in League 1 scandalous as that may be. We need to start the planning now; there will be little budget wise; season tickets will be 6-8 thousand. We will be shopping in the National League and NL North for players. Next year will provide no swift return it will be a struggle to adjust to that League. If we avoid the drop to the NL that will be a triumph. It's a long long way back ..could be 2030 before we return to League 1 ?
