    THIS !!

Like all businesses ....... Personal improvement and a planned structure starts at the TOP, and with the right key personnel, then filters though to the whole workforce. Without that, you either tread water, or worse - get left behind.

Show me who, where and what roles Park, and I don’t mean volunteering by painting the stand or sweeping snow off the pitch. I mean reliant on volunteers for day to day running of the business

At the moment we have a very experienced CEO and a good team below him in business development. Retail with the shop ticket office etc.So I would say the club is being run effectively . We do need new PR people. But Glen Ackroyd seems to be doing a good job before an appointment is made.
Other clubs use volunteers for fund raising running lotterIes and things like that

We have an experienced CEO, he’s a steady pair of hands for sure. But fund raising etc is like having the WRVS running the tea bar at the BRI.
If I’m running a project, I’m not using volunteers to do important tasks. if my team don’t have the skills, I train them so that they do, support them. I don’t say the equipment you have isn’t the best, but that’s ok, we’re not a FTSE 100 company, I work to find a better solution.
I’m not saying Glen isn’t doing a good job, but I’d wager a professional PR person or PR agency would do a better job.

All are failing at the moment but if cheap season tickets keep you happy then you will be pleased.

Mr Rhodes and Mr Rupp are failing here currently. You can't agrue with that.

    Wow you're unbelievable!

Seriously, without a doubt one of the reasons this club is going backwards.

    Have a word with yourself

A lot of people slagging off hard working people in this thread, from the top all the way down. They are clearly working hard and probably take little enjoyment from the situation we are in, but the slagging off of the staff is in very poor taste.

    Rubbish.

Have you seen the signage down there? I was there last night. On the main road it obviously advertises the school. As you turn off Harrogate Rd into the car park there's a big sign mentioning the pitch that is City's and City's only. When you go down the drive to the 4g pitches there's signs down there with City's academy, city office, city portacabbins etc.

You also have to bear in the mind that this is a school which has had issues with City fans going onto the school ground which is not allowed - obviously. The sign is there, almost road side but it's not a sign to invite you in. Obviously.

The reason I guess is because the end date was before relegation was confirmed, they can't talk about promotion for the next season when they don't/didn't know what League we'd be in. Not sure how you can hype season ticket sales up anymore than they did after such a terrible season and before relegation is confirmed.

Social media were complaining enough about the push, god knows how they'd have reacted by a promotion push campaign!!!

I can see and appreciate both sides of the debate, Park.
Enough has been said and written about Edin Rahic - and it's time to put all things right, and move on.
It is claimed that key recruiting is going on behind the scenes, which is great. However, to get the 'right' people in, takes time. Therefore, I for one am delighted to know BCAFC have Ambassadors such as Glenn Ackroyd and Roger Owen giving us both their time and expertise in the interim.
Hopefully, once the season is over, and the dust begins to settle, we'll see meaningful activity to address our apparent 'shortcomings'. Next season will / should see a new era for BCAFC, in more ways than one. :)

I don’t think anybody is ‘slagging ‘ staff off, they are working hard, but what ppl are asking quite rightly in my view, are we doing enough? Do we need more? Are our staff working to a plan? Are they trained and is this training kept up to date? Do we need more staff in key positions? This maybe the case that our staff are not highlighted to the fans of promoting their own work that contribute’s to the overall team. My own contact with staff has been positive.

People saying that the club should have it own training facilities etc are aiming their ire at the wrong people. This should have been done when the sun was shining brightly during the promotion season and the following two seasons in the PL. It would have only taken a couple of million pounds each season, which would not have had a major impact on the finances, and bingo job done. At the same time sponsorship could have been brought in - big signage of the ground/buildings "Bradford City AFC together with Joe Bloggs". That would have brought in a decent whack. Or the club could have re-purchased the ground and the rental money used to fund new facilities. Instead there was no forward thinking and the club is where it is now.

What are you suggesting the season tickets should be for a relegated League 1 side?

We've just achieved one of our highest total season ticket sales we've ever had in league 2 on the back of a relegation, surely that is a good indicator that the staff are doing just fine? I listened to Ryan Sparks interview who is the media and PR manager, he spoke well and outlined different things that they do, go find it on the pulse website and have a listen, and that applies to anyone else that think the staff don't do enough.

I'm not sure what people expect, but getting at the day to day staff when they're obviously working hard is wrong. What key positions are we missing? It's all a big fuss over absolutely nothing.
