The statement says he’s “instructed my lawyers to explore all possible legal redress forthwith.”

That’s not the same as suing, his solicitor might come up with any advice between “walk away and forget about it” through to “we’ve got them bang to rights here”.

Knowing nothing about the ins and outs, I suspect the best and cheapest outcome could be a joint statement along the lines of our recollections may vary, a donation to charity and everybody moves on.

Engage good solicitors and you spend money, partners at a magic circle firm bill in the thousands per hours. In my experience few except the solicitor’s bank balance benefits from a legal case.

 

Yes he does, not sure why it needs a club announcement. Unless it’s the club seeking legal advice not Rupp as an individual.

 

To stop the rumours of who is lying or not regarding the sale of the club ?

So is it the club seeking legal advice or Rupp himself? They’re two different entities, we don’t need to know if a businessman may sue someone over a business deal it’s literally non of our business.

 

All WAGMI have done is wake Rupp up to the fact that he actually owns a football club...

 

Just to add Rupp has every right to make a statement saying they were lying, what I don’t get the need for the the seeking legal advice at the end. It is absolutely non of our business if he sues them unless it is the club itself that does it. A simple statement claiming what they said was false would have done and I do t know why it wasn’t days ago at the time. It’s like a tacky American show.

Say what you like about Wagmi but it's very impressive to get sued for literally every single tweet they've ever made.

 

It's down to what they said in the statement and called him a lair which he's saying is untrue so he'll be sueing along the lines of defamation of character I would guess if that' what he legal team recommend.

 

So true and hopefully that is just around the corner - as for all the tittle tattle Stefan has much to do to win back the fans, that's obvious, but I am totally with him in his response today as I still believe he has our best interests at heart. We all want him to invest more and push the boat out beyond his current level but he has my support (for what its worth) in his stance on this mishmash of a takeover.
