Good to hear. I think you'll find that apart from the odd one or two, most people want to see Sparks given some support.

 

Depends what help people want for him? A CEO shouldn't need help to be a CEO. Granted, if its specific development areas then all well and good but I don't think that is what people are advocating.

 

If it helps why not but Sparks doesn’t need it and less than two years into the job the first of which was a success and the second a failure not down to him and he has acted decisively

 

In most organisations a CEO has other directors to lead aspects of the business, e.g. operations, commercial etc.

 

I don't know how much clearer you want people to make it. Sparks is doing a decent enough job on the operational side of running a business but the footballing side of things, not so much. No shame in that, he doesn't have a background in football, let's get someone in who does to deal with that side of things and let Ryan concentrate on what he's good at.

 

It shouldn't come as a surprise mate you know how football forums work, if we were top of the league and doing a FGR some would still criticise.

 

Ive had this conversation with someone else and as I stated if he's looking for specific help then I can see the advantage. My problem is Sparks needs help as a CEO, he's only ever been shown the CEO ropes by a bloke who should never have been in control of a football club. He's learning as he goes along and I don't want that from the guy running the club.

 

We are light years away from what FGR are doing long term Dave.

 

I don’t criticise sparks for appointing Adam. On paper a great move. Offering Stuart a contract then sacking was naive. I will bow to whalers inside knowledge on the good he is doing behind the scenes. But wow we need a real focus now.

Not condescending at all. I was merely baffled at your question, 'depends what help people want for him?' when quite a number of posters have been saying all day that he needs help with the footballing side of things. Sorry if you felt offended by that.

 

As I posted even if we mirrored FGR there would still be posters moaning, to some it's just criticise for the sake of criticism.

 

Part of being a CEO is overseeing the whole operation, something we are failing spectacularly at. Perhaps chief commercial officer is a more fitting role.
