Let the manager sort out any minor issues when they arise. If anything actually happens with any player the local press will report it!

 

Maybe he thought on this occasion it wasn't suitable to discuss why Sutton didn't make the bench.
Weren't you entertained on Saturday or at home to Stevenage, or away to Mansfield, we just couldn't put our chances away on Saturdag but played some great football mainly when they had 11 men.
If we can continue as we are some one is going to get one hiding.Take the Orient game out and I'd say we've seen some very good attacking football this season.
Do we as fans need to know the ins and outs of why Adams left Sutton out, I'm not sure we do, I don't believe the question would have been asked by Jamie if we'd put Walsall to the sword as we should have done.
Sorry mate well have to disagree on this one, Songo made the situation very clear with regards Derek Adams, you play well on Saturdag train well all week but that does not guarentee you a place in the starting 11 the following Saturday.

We are maybe looking for something that isn't there. Derek Adams is very much his own man and will do things his own way. If he gets us promoted I for one will not criticise him for things he has done along the way.
In an interview at the start of the season Niall Canavan said that under Adams you can train well all week, feel that you have had a good game at the weekend then the next game you are left out. I think he likes to keep players on their toes.

 

Until it bites him on the bum but for now and certainly until the end of Jan and even approaching close season depending on where we are and what he says-in DA we trust.

I definitely thought Adams response about Sutton was strange but hopefully we are just making a mountain out of a molehill

 

Unfortunately its a sign of the-times some fans think they have a right to know about every little incident that happens at the club.
I'm sure whatever the situation was (if there was a situation) Adams will have made it quite clear to Sutton that it wont happen again.

 

Will people start speculating there is an issue with Watt, Evans or Songo if Sutton is back in the match day squad on Saturday and one of them is left out?

Only if his answer is the same as when asked about Sutton. He answered the question without actually answering it. It was clear to me he was dropped for some non-footballing reason but can't say as I'm that bothered about it. It was just clear that Adams dropped him but didn't want to say why and we may never know.

 

Strange how we all interpret things differently. I didn't get that from his interview at all.

 

Yes, true, I can't explain it very well but from experience I can just tell there was more to it. What triggers it is that Raynor asks the question and Adams answers, Raynor then wants to follow up and clarify Adams vague answer but his follow up peters out and he kind of answers the question himself with Adams half smiling/grinning a response which encourages Raynor not to ask the question. Can just tell Adams encouraged him not to ask the question and Raynor changed his mind part way through. That's what I heard/interpreted anyway.

 

Was that the Radio Leeds interview, or another with Jamie Raynor interviewing Adams.

 

Also let’s face it, out of all the squad playing regularly last season the signing of Songo’o was likely to challenge Sutton the most. Also to your point, Adams keeps players on their toes and Songo’o is experiencing this first hand due to limited appearances since becoming fit.

I think Sutton will have his part to play in this season and I hope he does, as mentioned in another thread I like him and think he offers something different to rest of the CMs, not just in his versatility.

Yeah I remember you saying it was Evans' fault after the game so I checked when I watched the highlights... it's was Watt's man and he passed him on to the centre backs to close the winger down (sort of!). Evans was nowhere near it and that player was nowt to do with him. Canavan passed his own man on to Paudie and should have picked up the scorer but allowed him to get to the blind side of him and cut across him for the goal, the second home game running he's done that - something he needs to work on. Ridehalgh should have been giving him a shout about it as well. Either way, nothing whatsoever to do with Evans who was outside the box on the far side (presumably marking the other CM out of shot)
