We brought Adams in to do things his way in order to bring us success. Some fans seem to be looking for discord when there might not be any. Let’s just trust him to get on with it and see where it takes us. For far too long we’ve had players, owners and managers taking the mick. Time to stop the pussy footing around and get some, old school discipline back in the building.

 

There’s no issue here is there, just a load of pointless, unfounded speculation based on nothing. Mods may as well delete the thread - shit stirring helps nobody.

Let the manager sort out any minor issues when they arise. If anything actually happens with any player the local press will report it!

 

Nothing to see imo, we were at home against one of the struggling sides why go with two holding midfielders on the bench over two strikers and a winger? I’m sure there would have been a thread on Songo’o had he been the one to miss out. Mountains and molehills spring to mind.

We are paying a decent guy to manage….let him manage how he sees fit. He will stand and fall by those decisions. If a manager isn’t allowed to discipline, then there is zero point in having a manager in the first instance.

 

Maybe he thought on this occasion it wasn't suitable to discuss why Sutton didn't make the bench.
Weren't you entertained on Saturday or at home to Stevenage, or away to Mansfield, we just couldn't put our chances away on Saturdag but played some great football mainly when they had 11 men.
If we can continue as we are some one is going to get one hiding.Take the Orient game out and I'd say we've seen some very good attacking football this season.
Do we as fans need to know the ins and outs of why Adams left Sutton out, I'm not sure we do, I don't believe the question would have been asked by Jamie if we'd put Walsall to the sword as we should have done.
Sorry mate well have to disagree on this one, Songo made the situation very clear with regards Derek Adams, you play well on Saturdag train well all week but that does not guarentee you a place in the starting 11 the following Saturday.

 

Yeah I remember you saying it was Evans' fault after the game so I checked when I watched the highlights... it's was Watt's man and he passed him on to the centre backs to close the winger down (sort of!). Evans was nowhere near it and that player was nowt to do with him. Canavan passed his own man on to Paudie and should have picked up the scorer but allowed him to get to the blind side of him and cut across him for the goal, the second home game running he's done that - something he needs to work on. Ridehalgh should have been giving him a shout about it as well. Either way, nothing whatsoever to do with Evans who was outside the box on the far side (presumably marking the other CM out of shot)

Suggestive, but zero evidence in all honesty.

 

There might be nothing other than tactical reasons. We’ve a squad of 25 or 26 players, I wouldn’t expect him to give reasons why those outside the match day squad weren’t selected.

If Sutton doesn’t at least make the bench after 2 or 3 games when fit, then that would be the time to ask why, but only if the results aren’t going our way. I like Sutton, but there’s nothing we can do or say that will make Adams change his mind, nor should there be. Songo’O warned that Adams likes to keep everyone on their toes, so we shouldn’t be too surprised when this happens. It could be Watt next..

God help Adams if we don't get a positive result at Salford, at least some said they would not judge him and the squad until after 10 games, unbelievable Jeff.

 

We are maybe looking for something that isn't there. Derek Adams is very much his own man and will do things his own way. If he gets us promoted I for one will not criticise him for things he has done along the way.
In an interview at the start of the season Niall Canavan said that under Adams you can train well all week, feel that you have had a good game at the weekend then the next game you are left out. I think he likes to keep players on their toes.

I got the impression Adams didn't select him for tactical or other reason, not because of injury

 

He had a head wound over three weeks ago, which was not expected to keep him out for long, but has barely featured since.

When he wasn't named in the squad yesterday, I sensed something may have happened. That was reinforced by DA'S somewhat uneasy response to Jamie Raynor in the post match interview.

 

Yep and the fact that after Adams answer, Raynor said something like "so he is OK, OK, er, right" and thought better of a follow up question! Adams probably scowling at him!

 

Have a listen to the interview. Definitely seems like Sutton has done something a bit naughty. He was fit but purposefully left out of the squad by Adams.

 

Adams seems to be getting along with Evans, pretty man enough for me knowing their previous history. Evans is getting better for it which is an added bonus. New player for me!

 

Unfortunately its a sign of the-times some fans think they have a right to know about every little incident that happens at the club.
I'm sure whatever the situation was (if there was a situation) Adams will have made it quite clear to Sutton that it wont happen again.
