I believe if we get a win next week and end the hoodoo at home, we’ll really kick on. Away from home there’s a real bond between the staff, players and fans, whereas at home the team are only a stray pass away from being booed. A win might calm the nerves of the home fans and build up a head of steam, then we could finally begin to build the fortress Mark Hughes spoke about.
It does feel like something is building here, we just need to bring that away form to Valley Parade to see where we could end up. When you think of the dropped points at Barrow and Colchester to name but two, then the missing Walker and Osadebe, where would we be right now. Exciting times ahead…

Without those 'homers', as a club we'd be up shit street without a paddle. Not all of them whinge or boo, just a minority with little in brain cells.

I dont agree that its negativity. Whilst our home performances havent been great I think its more a case of adapting the way we play when teams sit off us. Ive said before that Ive no problem with the passing from the back, but at home it just needs to happen much quicker. There may be the fear factor as you can sense the fans impatience which cant help. Weve been woeful at home for a few years now, but we really are not far away with this squad, and the reaction from some after a couple of draws and a cup defeat has been way over the top imo

Please don't, that is the one thing I am dreading. Not because i'll be stuck in traffic, but because I fear I will most certainly get so angry that I will take the law into my own hands

Unwashed horrible specimens, really boil my p1ss

I agree with you. Songo'o like to throw himself around and try to be physical. It gives the impression that he's big and strong. Platt is strong but also clever with it. He has the potential to play at least at league one. He is now settling in and is clearly able to anticipate things better. He's got more of a football brain than Yann and should play every game ahead of him that he's fit. Yann's throwing himself around gives the impression that he's strong and committed but really he has to do it because he's slow off the mark and trying to catch up with play or with the forward whereas in the same situation Platt is already ahead in his thinking.

Platt has impressed me. He's settled well and is the more solid and dependable between him and Crichlow. He's not as confident passing though but he can improve that. Over time he may end up being the better defender.

As fans do we have to decide what the players produce to make an atmosphere? I watch quite a bit of football on the continent and the fans are right behind the team even before kick off. it seems over here we wait till we get summat like a corner before remembering how to sing. Valley Parade should be rocking after the last two games but i won't hold my breath.

You really have no idea how many City fans live and work in the London area. It would actually surprise many Bradford based fans. I’ve been to several Orient / City night games and there was easily 700 City fans, and one coach from Shipley. We went by tube.

Apparently things were that bad in the day! Forget Jimmie Hendrix/The Who/The Cream/The Beatles/The Rolling Stones/Motown (just for starters).
This was something around in the day!

Sounds like a good battling, professional job done today.

Away form is incredible, 6 wins and a draw from last 7 on their travels.

Sets us up nicely for the Cobblers.

Cookie continues to defy Fordy by keeping on scoring and staying in the side. Bench my ar**

Your not wrong.Supporters in general are now behind the team and feel a togetherness with the players.
Harry Lewis is a classic example he wants to play for City in spade loads and in return he's gained a special bond with our fans so sadly lacking in previous seasons.
I just couldn't warm to the squad under Adams tenure at all.

I think that stops any doubts as to whether he meant it or not. The lad has a left peg like a wand, that ability to strike ball like does with the skill to beat a man will see him play higher than this level. Ain't just hype, the lad adds goals and assists to his game

I think the point is we won’t be bringing kids in to provide cover. Players like Young, East, Songo , Hendrie and add our two long term injuries coming back around the New Year etc who will slot in to cover for individual absences . Even the obese one at Stevenage and Cloughie are lamenting a small squad ! We shouldn’t worry on that score.

Although it is legal , i find that very unsporting. He is in the net tying his laces. If you leave the playing field for any reason, you need the ref's permission to return. I presume inside the goal is still classed as the playing field, although once the ball crosses the goal line . it is classed as dead and not in play.

Seems quite a new thing Kev, this booing after a defeat. I wasn't happy with the defeat last Saturday but jeez i'd never boo the team off. Part of our role as supporters is to get behind the side. Lets face it, makes for a far better afternoon if you've had a good sing song with other fans. The players do repond to whatever comes from the terraces, if they're struggling giving them grief ain't gonna make them play any better.

Like you Kevin I have seen plenty of dross over the years and the performances in the last few home games have been up there with the worst. I always try to be positive but I must admit to being disillusioned after last Saturday so much so I went to watch Scarborough last Tuesday instead of watching the Mansfield game.
We have a great squad this season capable of winning this league and we are in a decent position thanks to our away form. I still have a fear that our negativity at home may cost us. Everything is in place this year we must do it
