Sounds like the sort of daft thing we would do.

Wrexham were also said to be after Armstrong at Harrogate, but Harrogate quoted £500.000 for him,and i have not heard anything else since.

That’s the trouble when you have money prices treble none of those quoted are worth anything like the amounts quoted. Wrexham if they have any sense need to concentrate on the best free transfers and at this stage if the window loans

The debt mountain is still getting bigger.
Losing £63k a WEEK three years ago, debt was over £18m then and still grows daily.
    Mortgaged up to the hilt.
    Zero sympathy

Wholly owned by Winkleman…No wonder he looks ill.

The opposite is unsustainable. I attended the creditors meeting when we went bust there were people in tears and very very angry. Not a good day

@Park bantam@Park bantam thank you for the English lesson. Had you missed the sense of irony in my comment?

They were dark days no doubt about it. I still feel we use that as an excuse to never speculate to accumulate or push the boat out.

it’s a fear factor of debt we have at this club, life is full of debt and it can be good thing if you manage it correctly. Sustainability will not get us anywhere near our potential… don’t think it will get us out of this league. Too many teams now willing to take a risk for the reward good luck to them, wish we would take more risks (not go crazy).

An owner can put money into a club to maintain sensible spending and money can be used when you know you can claw it back later. But football is a sport and is unpredictable you can spend a lot of money with no guarantee of Success. Funding it by piling debt on the club is not a good idea in my opinion

We are well covered for that position. I would prefer a striker and a pacy centre half if we have anything left in the kitty.

I suspect we will be looking to move a few on first though?

Not a huge amount of time left though. Are we in for some last minute panic loans as usual then?

I think every club at our level has the last minute panic moves in the transfer market
