    I was using him as a comparison. Zero football knowledge yet apparently can run a football club better than Sparks. (Spending someone else’s dollars to boot) I think not! People clamour for CEO’s with these skills, yet with most of the EFL to go at….They can’t name ONE.
    Can one?

    Name an EFL CEO with a football pedigree …..you still haven’t, yet still continue to intimate we need one.

    (Watches Trev feverishly searching the internet for the names of EFL CEO’s , then searching their Linked-In profile for their work history…..);)

    That may be true but we don’t have the luxury..of spending money like water if the owner won’t add further funds. Im sure you agree that’s not smart business sense from a CEO’s perspective. There again it’s not your or my money is it?

    Does it make smart business sense from a CEO's perspective to continue doing what we've been doing? We may not be spending money like water but we sure as hell know how to pour what we are spending straight down the drain.

    Who doesn't?

    Paul scally the ex Gillingham owner has run the club for over 20 years he knows what he is doing, and has forgotten more than sparks ever dream of knowing.

    Scally has now left, the new owners have invested hundreds of thousands already to secure safety last year and push for promotion this. He himself may not be a walking rothmans year book however he has put a league two and league one promotion manager in as director of football.

    they are miles ahead of us in terms of knowledge

    Strange career, he was at a big club in Plymouth and it didn't work out, so went to resurrect his career at Newport, to side step for a lot of cash at Crawley, then to go to Barrow. I wonder what they paid for him and what his wages are. It also begs the question why didn't a bigger club go on for him?
