Really? I cant say I saw much in any of his Carlisle appearances against us that suggests he's still just a quick forward with little end product or ability on the ball.

I will say his first goal at the weekend was a very well taken finish. His second was just terrible goalkeeping, same for a few of those Sutton goals.

 

TBF They may look at how well Scott Banks did at City and that might be favorable in their decision.

Also, Tyriek Wright was absolute pants at 3 clubs before his stint with us so no reason this kid couldn't be a hit. He could be be another Nevers but I have an open mind.

 

I wasn't impressed with him against us.

 

Some on here would be happy to suck up a fart in a lift and say ' at least it wasn't a shit'

 

Fully agree, on paper and looking at some clips of the lad this morning, he's a pacey forward we wouldn't mind having in the building at the moment given we only have Smith with legs at the top of the pitch. Looks like he's started on the left just as much as he has up front in his career too. As said, he has a good scoring record for Palace U21s, but so did Nevers for his youth clubs and he looked well out of his depth.

JK Gordon at Carlisle had 10 starts including the POs, 7 sub apps and 2 goals. Looks like he started well, got a knock which seemed worse than first imagined and then was just in and out the team from the middle of Feb until the end of the season.

 

I thought he was the best player on the pitch in that 2nd leg.

He was an absolute defenders pain in the rear in the second leg. All over the place. Reminds me of Smith and would partner Cook.

 

Neither was I. Same with this Armstrong lad at Harrogate thats been mentioned. Hopefully we bring in a Scott Banks rather than a Thierry Nevers.

 

I think the fact Pointon was omitted from the Accrington squad tells you he is not fully fit and wont be risked until he is.

Those are the type of games to give the players like Pointon a wee run out.

Parker has done an article on the JK Gordon link and hasn't immediately got word form the club it's nonsense, which is Parkers usual thing when these Twitter/X links get traction. Also, tells you it's likely true but again is playing it down due to the L1 clubs ahead of us in the pecking order. Tbf Peter O who sent out the initial link has an incredibly good record for EFL transfer deals.

I think it would be a cracking signing but we are overloaded in that sort of area a left wingback should be the priority
