It was 500k and no I don’t because he has only been tested at league two level a good season in league one and there is a record of progression then he will be worth a lot more

 

I think he will be our back up goalkeeper, we’ve signed another goalkeeper alongside him so I really don’t have a clue who will be favoured on the bench.

So he’s not worth 1/2 mill now but will be worth over mill in 12 months.

I wouldn’t risk and that’s exactly what it is , a risk, any more than 200k tomorrow morning, based on his entire L2 career so far, especially if Blackpool play 352. He doesn’t fit in a 352, even in our side at the moment. He’s not a wing back because he couldn’t act as full back as part of the role, not a chance because he’s only effective wide RIGHT. . Because he’s left footed he couldn’t play right wing back anyway, he’d get tied in a knot all day long. Let’s have some common sense applied. It just wouldn’t work.

£500k for Banks is way too much. A decent season in L2 is all he has done - he didnt pull up any trees to earn that value.

I did, don’t mind him at all it’s values we are talking about Idle not the lad. The numbers being suggested now (500-600)and in 12 months (1m) don’t have any tangible substance based on what we have seen . imho.

Where would he fit in our team right now say playing 352. It’s ok having the pieces but one can’t always make a jig saw fit?

 

We shall see. I hope your right, because he’s a decent lad but on current showing no more than £200k at todays valuation . If someone want to take the risk all well and good. Based on buying form , would we think Peterborough may have come sniffing….A coincidence they haven’t perhaps?

Spot on he was ok at best to start but got better towards the end of the season. Anyone who signs his are paying for his potential. 200 k sounds very risky

 

He is totally unproven save half a season in L2. He should be no more than £50k plus a sell on clause just in case he comes good.

 

500k is pure paper talk but should he sign for Blackpool and do well there his value will shoot up

 

That's what we should do. Put in a cheeky 50k bid with a 80% sell on clause in Palace's favour. If they genuinely think he's going to go for big money in the future they'd snap our hand off.
