    Walker is better central, Young can't cross. Gillead hasn't the attacking threat to be put on the wing. Can't speak regarding Pointion or Odour but I don't think they are natural wingers, irrespective of where they wish they could play. I think Smith is better central

    We dont need a player who's a jack of trades, we need a specialist in that position. it was our undoing last year

    Who says? MH says we will be using fluid formation. With subs 352 can be a diamond , 433 and so on.
    Can imagine last 20 bringing on a wide player against a tiring defence. He would just give us greater options .

    in the event that Plan A does not work, we need a plan B. Most teams will come to Valley Parade and play a low block, the only way to create chances then is through the wings.

    Speaking of older players..... Kurtis Guthrie looks like he's going to be leaving Livingston, with Cambridge, Cheltenham & Morecambe thought to have already contacted Livingston about a deal.

    Also, it sounds like Jack Payne has been told he is free to find another club. He made all but 1 of Charltons matchday 18s last season, but managed just 12 league starts.

    He's the first player they show? Him, Ridehalgh and Lewis walking through the car park. Appears sporadically throughout to be fair.

    Morecombe want Hendrie and Guthrie - a long season ahead with Crawley and Forest Green.

    Id take Jack Payne. Was one of the best players I seen this last decade in a City shirt - when he was on it.....
