Yeah, I didn't include him because if the rumour is true about him and also Gordon, it's one out one in and I was just thinking about the ones that might leave to make room for other possible new arrivals.

 

Contracted until summer 24. Feels like he's been around for ages and he's still only 20!

 

We only need another RB if Hendrie leaves because Halliday and Hendrie is enough.
Left back is far more needed because we currently only have Ridehalgh who can play there and he is injury prone. I don’t see Odour being used at LB.

 

Daniel Oyegoke is the Brentford defender were supposedly linked with. Guy on Twitter reckons its a done deal. Right back, could spell the end for Hendrie if true.

Who are our wide attacking options? Chapman and Odour (sort of). Is that it? We look well short in those areas.

 

I agree. McDonald is quality, but we don't know how his fitness will hold up. The rest of our additions are all maybes. Taylor for Crichlow looks a downgrade. We still look short on quality in some key areas to me.

 

I wonder, thinking outside the box?

Odour is left sided and everyone has , quite reasonably, assumed left wing back or left of a front three.

Could he have been brought in to play in the Banks role , cutting on from the right ?

 

Smith has done bits there. Young still on the books for now.

 

Pattison is proven and Smith is an upgrade as well
