    Peterborough got Ronnie Edwards from Barnet , after he had played for Barnet just 6 times in 2019-20

    Have a guess how much he’s worth now ? Cost cutting……….?

    Seems like we are banging heads against brick walls.

    Too short, not fast enough, too old, not played enough games, from the wrong club, from the wrong type of club, too fat, not strong enough, not enough league experience, too much experience in the wrong country, always injured even though the injury was a kidney transplant, he’s got kids, he’s married, he lives too far away on and on and on we go.

    Look hard enough and all these comments have been made within the last two weeks.

    Ronnie Edwards, completely unknown plucked from Barnet after 6 NL games and signed by my local team.

    It can pay off , there are at least 20 of them over the last 30 years which has kept Peterborough going. It’s knowing where to look.

    Posh have a major advantage over most other clubs. They have Barry Fry and his famous black book. For more than the best part of three decades, Fry has watched and researched thousands of players in the non-league teams in southern England. His knowledge of these players is encyclopaedic quality. Other clubs don't accumulate that level of knowledge with a part time group of scouts whose boss, the manager, changes every 2 or 3 years. And they certainly don't have too many successes from recruiting players who happened to have a good game when playing against them.

    Would be happy with Smith, Swindon fans really like him and 3 in 14 in the championship for a poor team isn’t bad at all and still young but with good experience. Hope it’s correct.

    I'm not sure you can compare our scouting with Peterborough. They have made tens of millions of pounds from their 'gems'. Meanwhile Bradford City....

    Unfashionable clubs like Brentford and Posh been doing it for years. Probably the best in the EFL this last decade. (Aware Brentford now PL!)

    Certainly has more pedigree than Costelloe, Eisa and a few others. On face value he would seem to be an upgrade.

    Not dissimilar profile to Harry Chapman. If he signs, let's hope he puts away and early chance and builds confidence.
