Summer 2021 Transfers

If someone is going to come in with a late bid they've done well to keep their interest private in these days of social media. Normally there'll be some rumour of sorts of clubs interested, but bar a weak rumour with Hull some time ago there has been no rumour whatsoever regarding Watt. In the same breath i'd say we are definitely looking at Bogle but will more likely end up in the infamous nearly XI.

 

Just seen something claiming Coventry and Dog Botherers interested in Watt at £300,000. Can't vouch for rhe reliability of the article.

Although the club have poo pooed it, there has been rumour of interest from Coventry and Huddersfield in the last few days. Might be nothing in it but to say there has been no rumour whatsoever is incorrect.

Back to rumours and Cheltenham are set to loan striker George Lloyd to a league 2 team. Wonder if it's us?

I don’t understand why every year we have a mad scramble on deadline day with panic buys and sales leaving gaps in squads. There is no reason for it.

 

If the Watt went and we reinvented the money that’s two quality players at this level I’d say £300k =£6kpw not counting Watt’s wages. I’d want a sell on in there though and maybe us actually buying someone

 

As you say it happens every year, no matter the manager and set up. Maybe it’s to do with higher up and what he is willing to invest, depending on budgets we are likely to be getting scraps and those that are desperate to move who haven’t and are willing to settle for less money. Just the way it is.

 

Looks like Rotherham are interested in Cole Stockton

It's just as DA said in the paper today. Teams hold on for a replacement before letting go of someone. Closest example I can think of is it's the same as buying a house and being in a chain.
