I’d be surprised if Tranmere paid a quarter of that tbh, Jake Spearing is on £2.1k per week. Still terrible how he gets that much but he is contracted to a championship team. If we get there that’s what we’re up against and he’s probably a pauper compared to some.

Totally agree Sergio. Don't think we need any of the above mentioned and more importantly, I can't see Adams wanting to sign any of them. Another decent striker might help us, but we have a good squad right now, and God forbid that Adams is looking at any marquee signings. They often end in tears.

That salary sport website that is pulled from is a load of nonsense. They tend to just pull wages from Fifa and Football Manager. That's why every prem youth is on about 3-5 grand a week.

Just doing a quick google, looks like he was on £12K at Derby and in his final season at Derby the average wage in that Derby squad 18/19 was £19,218 per week.

Cant imagine at 34 he got a similar wage at Preston who's average squad wage the season he signed was £7,226 a week. Imagine he was probably on £5/6ish a week at Preston? From the wirral paper when he signed on loan, they confirmed they didn't cover all Nugents wages.

 

And these youth players on 3-5 a week are?
