    Steve Davies?

Louis Moult did well for other teams after he'd left us but very little if anything at VP.

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Jon Stead who joined us twice on loan. He is the standout success of a striker who we've taken on loan in the past.

He’s been holding out for a deal he deserves and can’t blame him.

knew he had gone but could only offer the strong hint above! Good luck to him. A hard working player who was liked by Morecambe, Swindon, Tranmere and Camb fans. Things only really clicked for him last year but he could run riot in the National League.

shows City were right to make him an offer, but we can’t compete with Wrexham’s cash.

Name me a decent striker that has played on loan for City and done the business? Cook aside....

    Moult was shite for us.

Angol has looked sharp in pre season and given we only play with one striker anyway I’m happy with him and Cook. Fair enough bring in another back up but don’t think we are desperate for a striker

Yes John Stead was brilliant for us should have kept him a bit longer

I'm not sure I'd consider Parky as a 'very poor manager' but even he had mixed fortunes in the loan market. He brought in some very good players on loan but also some dross. Michael Bryan, Adam Reed, Andy Haworth, Matty Dolan, Chris Atkinson, Mason Bennett, Francois Zoko, Luke James and others who are all in the former latter category!

yes agree was really meaning post Parky as that is when the rot set in at the club, Parky did very well with some of his loan signings who a few went on to play at a higher level

Yes fair enough not a big risk, no club wants to pay wages if the striker is not contributing and his record is all lower league big jump from league two to Championship.

I don't doubt some have gone on and played well at other clubs. But this discussion is about the quality of their playing ability when they were taken on as loanees by us. What they've done subsequently is interesting but unconnected to what they did for us whilst at VP.

In fairness, plenty of players have looked decent in pre season and turned out to be crap when the season starts. Angol's recent scoring and injury record suggest he's not a player who we can depend on, even as backup.

Are you suggesting you didn't rate George Miller

In recent history Proctor in 2015 who got 6 in 14 starts with 5 subs.
Not brilliant, but at best adequate.
    Hiwula should have done better

    The list thought recently
Rumarn Burnell, Austin Samuels, George Miller, Mark Mcnulty (For us not great) , Wes Thomas, Mason Bennett, Zoko

    Is shudderingly p!ss poor

In some cases though you have to as is it us not getting the best from them or the player not being good enough

The sort of ownership we could only dream of. Ridiculously successful businessman and shows the pulling power by having names like tik tik on board. And if I remember there's a TV documentary series incoming, that alone would easily pay the wages of the likes of Paul Mullin and Parky.

I haven’t really followed the story of Reynolds buying of Wrexham and what attracted them to him. Did he look at other clubs with potential or is he connected to them in some way

It’s hard to believe that a dead end club rotting in non league for years attracted the owners and subsequently sponsorship and limelight they have, while we got Rahic after knocking on the door of the championship and getting to a major cup final and quarter final.

    Talk about shit luck.

I don’t know, not all about money, it takes the sting out of being poor, but give me our MD’s salary and I’d be happy, the graft and hours they put in? No chance, I’d rather spend time with my family or doing whatever it is I enjoy.

I think once you get to a comfortable income then you can start to balance quality of life against salary. Might be different for footballers in a time limited career, but I’d sacrifice promotion and a payrise at a different company if it meant hours of travelling every day, more important things in life.

I thinked they looked at a few clubs but Wrexham ticked the most boxes with them being a very historical club. The two owners are very astute business men and understand how in this social media age its important to take advantage of that medium. Already signed up social media giants tik tok for the journey and have 2 season documentary series commissioned with FX.
Wrexham really hit the motherload with these two coming on board.
