Work permits are a government matter. Not a football matter.

Read my post. It's clear that if you hold a British Passport you don't need a work permit. If he has applied for, and been given British Citizenship (and got a British Passport) then he is exempt. Irrespective of where you were born.

Work permits and international clearance are not linked. International clearance a separate issue and is simply FIFA registration.

Just so you can understand I will refer your original point as a reminder.

 

Has anyone been down to apperley bridge recently? I went to have a walk on the river on Saturday and the public car park at Woodhouse Grove was closed with barriers up.

 

I would think the barriers have been put down to deter groups walking around the public walkway along the riverside, they were possibly lowered at the start of the first lockdown and never given a second thought by the council about lifting them.
Unless as last time it was done to deter the traveling fraternity who took over the old football pitch at the Eccleshill Medical Centre.
