He was also good enough to remain here but circumstances seemed to dictate that a parting of ways was always the most likely option.

He was a right old conundrum was there AOC. Every manager he played under for us had him as a first choice. And in various positions, so appreciated his versatility. But for me, his slowness was less about pace and more about decision-making. Sometimes he'd put in a clever, laser pass. Often times, he'd get the ball and seem overwhelmed as to what he should do next, hold up play, slow us up. But I wish him the best. Like us all, he's just trying to make a living.

 

Best of luck to A O’C, not sure he’s a great signing for a team who’ll be expected to fight to stay up as for me he’s one of the last players I’d want ‘in the trenches’ with me. But no doubt he’s got ability, the first part is probably a reason why fans of his previous clubs barely had a good word to say about him.

 

I think Morecambe will do OK they have kept most of their key players and added to them well

 

I think they will be absolute rock bottom by about 15 points. Down by Xmas.

Sam Lavelle is their top defender, and a very good one at that - AOC as the reliable counterpart seems a good addition to me.

They'll need to sign a few more players yet, and AOC will obviously be within budget.

I reckon if Morecambe come down it'll be through lack of goals.

Good to see we're shaping up ahead of preseason not like in recent years where players were still shaking hands five minutes before the first match.
