Don’t like temporary. Grayson was temporary with a massive reputation and he is one of the worst managers we have ever had. Didn’t care one bit and his football was awful. Moaned a lot then walked away. Would rather have some commitment longer term

 

It’s the correct decision and I hope that we carry out a full recruitment process to find the right man.

It does show though how crazy it has been to extend their contracts, hold this recruitment meeting (unless this is always going to be above the manager).

Well done Mr Sparks though for being willing to admit his mistake.

 

And anyone thinking we could attract the likes of the Cowley brothers is quite simply deluded. Get prepared for a cheap option!

Fordy, you have to go through the procedure of asking for applications so dont read too much into that. Even for our shambles of a club do you honestly believe they have not been considering they might have to replace Stuart and 'allotment' Black as results and performances have been so poor?
My take on the contract extension is it was done to give an outward sign of continuity and if results improved then all well and good, but if no improvement then a change was still possible before we get to January. Why else would SP indicate that Stuart might not even take the money from his new deal, I think it was all based on whether things quickly improved.

Best of luck to a legend, he should never have come back again but that is on Rhodes. It’s for the best but I can’t see how it changes much, the club is rotten throughout, it was simply incompetence from Sparks to give them a contract extension only 2 weeks ago, people in other industries would probably be sacked for making such a costly mistake, because it will cost to pay him off.

Hopefully short term we see enough of an up turn to save us from non league, but longer term the club needs gutting.

Not sure his stick is unwarranted! His commenrary isn't great at times. Instead of explaining where the ball is positionally on the pitch and what's going on he waffles into more analysis, takes up time then Kiwomya does his bit and then suddenly when we had a thrown in they are on the edge of our box attacking.

Needs to focus more on actually describing the play/action for me especially with free kicks, throw ins. At times if you're not watching and only relying on audio you have no idea where the ball is, it's just in "a dangerous position" , which could be anywhere!

 

Think he’s still learning that side as I’ve seen him commenting on other commentators posts on twitter for advice etc. He’s learning and I don’t think he will work at Radio Leeds forever. He’s decent

 

Why would we want Holloway, doing just a bad a job as MCCall since going to Grimsby.

Very true, far more important than football, although the extension was baffling it did not stop the club from looking at the stituation and making the right call for both parties, well done Ryan Sparks.

We need a big name in charge to relate Bradford City as still being a major and attractive club, otherwise we won’t get a second look with any decent players.

Would be a nice final paragraph in his autobiography as being the manager who stopped the first Premiership club ever falling to Non League.
