He said he was a dad who won a competition and he didn’t look like a footballer. What part of that is not insinuating he is crap? Ask @BoingBoing he has it right

 

He doesn’t look like a footballer, thats the point. Otherwise we’d have players strutting round with beer bellies hanging out of their shorts.

Hang on, he DID say he looked like someone’s father that had won a competition to play. He also challenged the comment that @How made that he is a serial winner, having won 5 promotions with 4 clubs. This was dismissed as he wasn’t a household name and not playing for a top Premier League side.

He may not have used the word ‘crap’, but we can all see what he was insinuating. Just the same way Akinfenwa always gets similar stick, yet made a bigger impact in L1 this season than any of our forwards.

Had @Faithful Bantam not been making his assertions, wouldn’t he have simply replied, “he may be successful and have some ability, but he needs to shed the pounds”? But he didn’t. He just said he looked a joke and that he thought he was a kit man.

If he doesn’t want his posts interpreting, he needs to make his arguments clearer and acknowledge the points made back to him instead of just dismissing them

But refused to acknowledge the fact that, although he appears overweight, he is successful at what he does? To state he looks like a kit man or a kid’s dad that won a competition to allow him to play, refuses to accept that he’s still a good player (or at least he never admitted as much).

I think Mcnulty is in terrible shape for a footballer who looks like someone's dad has won a competition. I also think he's an amazing footballer with several promotions on his record.

No but that’s not what he said at all is it? You’ve added that bit in after to support a nothing point.

It’s clear he was trying to slander him by saying he looks like someone’s dad etc.
