    Agree with everything you’ve posted.
I just get frustrated that we could commercially be so much better, I used FC Venicia as an example of a club we should look to as a benchmark. Languishing in the 4th tier of Italian football following even more bankruptcy’s than us, they were bought by an American who most thought would fail. He took the brand global, used models on photo shoots round Venice to sell 4th division shirts around the world.......
Around the same time one of our fans was loved up with the worlds foremost supermodel, why oh why didn’t the club jump on this?
Because no one at the club thought of the potential brand expansion ms Hadid could have lent the club.
Where are the website options to view the site/ buy tickets in German/ Italian/ French/ Spanish?
Where are the on line brochures peddling sponsorship options in different languages?
Why aren’t we tying up deals to “twin” with clubs from other leagues, selling their shirts in our shop and ours in theirs? Deals with clubs who play in the same colours, Roma, Galatasary, Motherwell, suddenly we have Turks and Italians interested in our club, advertising opportunities opening up.
Think big Mr Sparks & Mr Rupp, get an identity and make us a global brand, then we can be sustainable AND successful

The fact we even have league 2 history under Rupp considering where he bought us is criminal enough, the fact we have so many losses just makes me despair.

It's strange that. Rupp speaks to Parker via the media. Not to the fans directly.

So is Rupp a keyboard warrior?

    What's good for the goose...

Keyboard warriors aren't the reason that this club has dramatically regressed within the current owners tenure.

    Indeed. Some costs....

But with no defeat in 11 and 7 wins, a win tonight and a play off position is theirs, as it stands.

Imagine, think outside the box here @JonButterfield@JonButterfield, challenging for promotion at the business end of the season.... With Gary Bowyer as your boss....

Ah, for the joys of another bottom half finish in the basement league with our 'custodian' Rupp

And the unremitting negativity of his tactics - playing for draws with ten men behind the ball at Orient and Carlisle - both on terrible runs of form at the time and ripe for the taking with a bit of positivity.

tactics and how he wasted the best forwards we'd had in a long time at the club. definitely a good bloke though and one who genuinely seemed to understand the club and take pride in representing us, so I always wish him well elsewhere.

Year on Year regression since this forum started. I bet @king karl@king karl was hoping for upwards motion to help build the forum not this dismal spiral

    Clever wording.

But naturally, you appreciate today's league position is entirely due to his absolute, seemingly bottomless incompetence and dreadful stewardship?

Weirdly I don’t think we need more money we just need to spend it much more wisely.

I wonder at what points Sparks considers resigning.

He's not coming close to meeting his own expectations.

He's much closer to might my expectations of him, which isn't a good thing.

I didn't say he should resign, to be fair, but if you're setting out an agenda like Sparks did last season and you start dictating what is and isn't acceptable, then you're head's on the chopping block.

Nobody made Sparks say that anything but promotion was unacceptable - he decided those were the parameters, and he's failed massively to meet them. For me, anyone who underperforms that badly in ANY job needs to consider their future.

But as you say, he'll stay and hope Mark Hughes does the job. So do I, so do you, and so does every other City fan.

At this point, I'll say I'm hopeful that come August, I'll be predicting a top 7 finish based on our actions in the Summer. But we need to actually make the necessary changes before we start expecting a much more rewarding season, as I'm sure you're fully aware :)

For what it's worth, I predicted a midtable finish this season, and saw no reason to predict anything more than that - but I certainly didn't expect us to potentially be posting a 60 year low. To me, it outlines what we're lacking with Rupp and Sparks at the helm. Even Derek Adams could do nothing in the face of such incompetence.

    Oh my, yes.

It's crazy, and I can't help but think it's based on duff advice from Rhodes.

It took Rhodes years to achieve success as chairman, and things only turned round when he received ample help from Mark Lawn.

Even Bryan Robson could not turn things round, we had to sink to new lows before the cavalry appeared in the board room and PP was brought in.

We're going down the same stupid and very long path now, refusing to bring in support in the board room so that we might give Hughes the very best chance.

But we've outlined this as fans enough times on here to know our cries are falling on dead ears - despite there being zero evidence Ryan or Stefan have any chance at all of doing a good job.

It boggles the mind to think how naive and stubborn these people are. 'No, it's okay, we can do it ourselves' - yeah, but can you??

If Hughes fails to get us promoted in the next couple of seasons, then Sparks will have been through four Manager's without success. At that point you've got to say the problems run far deeper than the Manager.

You could argue Stuart's second spell in charge, getting us to a play-off final, was a success.

I don’t think it was a success, but Stuart using the foundations Parky built gave it a good go and we had something even better to build on for the following season. The reason it’s not a success isn’t due to Stuart, but it’s hard to call it a success when you stay in the same league then next season drop into mid table followed by relegation the season after and continuing decline ever since. As soon as the owners got a proper chance to stamp their authority on the business we’ve failed every season, with every manager.
